This place still has the previous business' sign (Star Nails & Spa), which is very strange to me, especially when they answer the phone, "Goddess Nails." And they've been around for a while, so I'm wondering why they haven't spent the money to change the sign. Anyway, while this is not the best place to go to get your nails done, it's the closest one to my house, so I go when I "have to." Most of the time, my nails look crooked after they file them. I'd have to kindly ask them to refile. That's enough about nails. Facials at this place are a different story! Tavia is one of the estheticians there, and she's awesome! They use Babor products (www.babor.com), and I've never been disappointed with the experience or the results. Tavia is really sweet, and she really knows how to give great facial massages. I also to go to this place for waxing. No particular person...they all are great about getting every little hair. 2 stars for the nail services, 4 stars for the esthetician services...hence, 3 stars overall.
They have a great selection of beauty products and will give you 10% off their listed prices. If they don t have something you need, they will order it for you, I called in to make sure they had it first, you know how busy places get. From what I saw they carry professional brands of shampoo, conditioner, hairsprays, hair gels, mousse, etc. such as Sebastian, Alterna, Goldwell, KMS, Biolage, Nioxin, Biosilk, Moroccan Oil, Abba, Redken, Pureology, S Factor, Wella, Schwarzkopf, Sexy hair, Wella and American Crew. Although they do have more too, but standing their for 30 minutes looking through everything as I was waiting for a friend at the bank next door, you can only remember so much. I bought the Sebastian Shaper Hairspray 10 oz for $14.99 and got 10% off of that, just to show you their pricing. They were really nice and since they just opened, thought I d give them a shout out. :)
This is a great nail salon and spa. The atmosphere is very tropical and the owner, Lisa, is very nice. It is mostly nice and quiet and the girls who work there do not yell and scream to each other. If they have to speak in Vietnamese, at least they speak softly and they don't laugh and act like they are talking about the customers. The operator who works on me is either Helen or Kim or the owner. She even tells the girls to eat lunch in the back-room so the place doesn't smell of food. They play soft music and it is very pleasant. The prices are also very fair.
