Esther Park is a medical nutrition therapist specializing in eating disorders, weight management and diabetes.

A "Health At Every Size" approach is used for all nutritional concerns.

Other areas of expertise include nutrition for women throughout the life-cycle and the role of nutrition in athletic performance.

Esther Park supports the basic tenets of "Health At Every Size," which is a health centered approach to wellness. People of all sizes and shapes can reduce their risk of poor health by adopting a healthy lifestyle.

Nutrition consultation consists of evaluation of nutrition intake (deficiencies and excesses of nutrients consumed) and the development of an individual food plan based on your nutritional needs. Strategies will be developed using a non-dieting / healthy eating approach for all nutrition concerns and issues.

For issues regarding weight management, an 8-10 week program designed to improve nutritional intake, normalized eating, and challenge distorted attitudes and behaviors about health, food, and body image. The goals of the treatment are:

  1. Learn to eat in a positive and orderly fashion
  2. Reduce conflict and anxiety about eating
  3. Improve nutritional status (i.e. decrease blood glucose and cholesterol levels)
  4. Incorporate more physical activity
  5. Evaluate body weight response to this regimen
