Sports Authority Has a Lot of Many Types of Good Sporting Equipment
Posted by Ball-Romney D. on 05/18/2006
It's not as big as Costco, but with a few acres inside devoted to sporting goods, Sports Authority http://www.sportsauthority.com/ definitely has a better selection. If you're looking for something obscure, it's best to start someplace big enough to have a little of everything. It's also a good place to browse, to see the newer versions of things I used as a kid. The don't waste their time of many of the low-quality, cheap versions of things found in more mainstream department stores, which is to their credit.

Good stuff but you'll pay for it!

The store is set up great and it is very easy to find things. The sales people are wonderful, always helpful, and friendly. The products are of good quality, and there is a lot of variety. The prices are their downfall, quite a bit more spendy than the other equipment stores. For service and selection, they are still a great store.

Hands down the best sporting goods store
Posted by Joshua Y. on 08/21/2005
They have everything Big 5 and Garts doesn't have. The store is huge and they have so much clothing for all occassions such as hiking, rafting, or for playing team sports. Its kind of hard to find someone to help you but theres plenty of employees scurrying around. They have some great sales every now and then as well.
