THEY TAKE MY SAVINGS AND STILL CHARGE ME, THIS HAD HAPPEN FEW TIMES, IT SEEMS TO ME THAT THIS BANK ONLY WANTS YOUR MONEY AND NOT YOU... SOME OF THIS TELLERS ARE SO RUDE THEY NEED ANGER MANAGEMENT. SINCE THEY ARE RUDE, NOT FRIENDLY AND THEY GOT THEIR PERIODS... MY DAUGHTER ALSO HAD A PROBLEM, SHE CALLED THE BANK FEW DAYS LATER TO FIND OUT HOW MUCH WAS THERE AND TO VERIFY ALL HER BILLS WAS PAID, THE TELLER ASURE HER THAT INFO HE WAS GIVING HER WAS ACCURATE, THE NEXT DAY SHE CALL AGAIN, AND THEY TOLD HER THAT THE ACCOUNT WAS CLOSE DO TO OVERDRAFT. AND NOW THEY ARE DOING THE SAME TO ME, CANT BELIEVE THIS BANK, AS SOON MY BILLS ARE PAID I WILL CLOSE THIS ACCOUNT. BOA REALY IS WATCHING THEIR POCKETS NOT YOURS.

B of A has it backwards
Posted by sembrador on 07/07/2008
My wife and I have had an impeccable banking record across the years; 1 overdraft in over 30 years. That includes 2 banks in Argentina during our 14 years there. Since opening our B of A accounts (personal and business) 6 months ago, we've had nothing but grief. We were told (both of us were personally present) that if we opened a savings account along with our basic checking, the below-minimum monthly fee on the checking would be waived. Then it started showing up on our statements anyway. When we called, the same person who told us it would be waived said she hadn't said anything like that. But it was so very interesting that the following month the below-minimum fee was not deducted from our checking. Will we ever see the 3 months of fees credited back to our account? What do you think? Then B of A, instead of being there for my business, paid a check 1 day before the date I had put on it. It gave them a great opportunity to "back me up" by advancing me several hundred $$ so I wouldn't be "overdrawn." They're enjoying the finance charge brought about by their "help," too! No, B of A cares only about lining its pockets anyway it can, and the customer be *********.

Low Quality Management
Posted by lrtampa1022 on 06/30/2008
I Have been a customer with BOA for a number of years and I have had very poor service on several occasions. Most recently the location on Florida ave / Busch Blvd in Tampa, Florida. I have been paying rent to my landlord as always with check and on 06-30-08 a location manager on a power trip decided not to accept my check to my landlord. Even after speaking with him on the phone and verifying all my account information. The poor service and rude attitude recieved by this location manager made my decision to close my account with them.

A Victim of Bank of America
Posted by maggie5858 on 06/16/2008
I made a deposit in Bank of America for a significant amount of money. The next day I reviewed my account and found the funds had been removed. BOA claimed the check had been improperly endorsed and they would send an electronic copy for signature correction. Well... it has been over one month of repeated phone calls, emails and branch visits and I still have not received this electronic copy nor have the funds been placed back into my account. This has created a tremendous hardship for my family and no one at BOA seems to care. I cannot believe that this bank can get away with stealing so easily. In all my years of dealing with banks, I have never dealt with such dishonesty. I have opened a new account with another bank and would never put another nickel into Bank of America. I would advise anyone thinking of doing business with this bank to read as many reviews on this bank as you can. By doing your homework you will discover just how many individuals have fallen prey to their less than honest business practices!

poor inside teller service
Posted by teridd on 05/29/2008
From the beginning of a transacation the teller named "TASHA" grabbed my check after I signed it and told me abruptly to scan my debit card. She never asked me what I wanted to do with the check. Like, cash?, deposit all? or some of the check what? I usually have direct deposit but being I am new with this company I wanted to wait to see how things work out before doing the direct deposit. Ms. Tasha was a very poor teller and I am very leary of allowing her or anyone else in Bank Of America to handle my money. If you don't think enough of your customers than you definately don't think of your job or what matters that you keep your "customers". Plain and simple. Never, ever Assume anything in any job or capacity. You greet, talk, ask the necessary questions to provide, quick, CORRECT financial services. That is pretty cut and dry.

BofA: Ghetto Fascist Banking At It's Worst
Posted by WeHoTroy on 05/01/2008
Fascist -- "A form of political behavior marked by obsessive preoccupation with community decline, humiliation or victimhood and by compensatory cults of unity, energy and purity, in which a mass-based party of committed nationalist militants, working in uneasy but effective collaboration with traditional elites, abandons democratic liberties and pursues with redemptive violence and without ethical or legal restraints goals of internal cleansing and external expansion." [Robert O. Paxton, "The Anatomy of Fascism," 2004] You are the problem, not the solution if you support this company.

WATCH OUT!
Posted by Destinyred on 04/24/2008
This is the WORST banking institution I have ever dealt with. If you do not want employees accessing your bank accounts without your authorization - DO NOT deposit any money here. They have withdrawn thousands of dollars (as in upward of $20,000 at a time) from the accounts we had with them without prior notification. We would log on, see blocks of money removed in DEBIT form and have to "wonder" where it went. Upon calling a rep we learned this is a regular practice - especially when their jobs are at stake. It's like they have a "quota" to keep. They have drained CD's and everything. Please run - don't walk away from this company.

One star is too good.
Posted by daveyjones1 on 04/01/2008
Gone are the days that a bank manager would actually come and shake you by the hand if he saw you in the street, or that a mortgage loan adviser would actually give you good advice that didn't end up costing you thousands of dollars. It's not uncommon for a bank to make money from it's customers, it is a business like any other after all. But penalizing those who cannot afford a service whilst offering it to those who can for free, really gets my goat... Customer service? Automated service more like! When did you last hear; "press '1' to speak to a human being"?
