    Exceptional

    Excellent Customer Service

I normally take my car to WaterWorks. I decided to take a chance with FireHouse and I was extremely pleased with the service. My car has never looked so good. I got a detail service done. When I pulled in the ticket writer/manager Ed was extremely helpful and courtious. I told him about my reservations and he reassured me that he would personally take care of my car. Once I picked up my car everything that he had promised had been done. I would highly recommend this car wash to everyone.

Fire House Car Wash damaged our car and then gave us a hard time!

    Posted by Bummedout on 06/01/2008

We recently took our car into the Fire House location on Colfax for a complete interior detail. When we picked up the car, the interior looked great, but we were told that our car had accidentally been backed into another car. There was a scrape in the paint and the bumper had pulled away from the side of the car. We were not upset, assuming that the damage would be repaired, we would be provided a rental during the repair, and that we would be offered some gesture for our time and hassle, like a free car wash or the like. Instead, we were told to bring the car to an auto body shop where it would be repaired by a relative of the person who had caused the damage. After dropping off the car, we returned to Fire House to get the manager, to put their commitment in writing to pay for the $200+ repair. When we told him that the repair would take 4-5 days and asked if they would cover a rental car, he very rudely told us that “last time, the judge had ruled” that they had no obligation to pay for a rental car and would only reimburse us $19 per day as a “courtesy.” There was no apology and no attempt to compensate us for the time we had wasted in taking care of the problem. When we mentioned that we might speak with consumer watchdog groups about the poor service we had received, he rescinded his offer to pay for the $19 a day and told us to leave the premises. Even worse, we found out that he intended to make the employee who had caused the damage pay for it out of her own pocket, and he wanted us to work under the table with an employee at the shop to get the damage fixed. DO NOT leave your car here. They do a good job with detailing, but they will not take care of you if something goes wrong and promote a sketchy sense of business ethics at best. It’s just not worth it.

    Don't waste your money!!!!!

I just had my car washed at Fire House and I must say it was terrible. I requested the The Blue Coral Supreme - $27.95 and the Shampoo Seats - $34.95. I also asked if they could remove an old sticker off the window. Nothing outrageous. Per Fire House's website the Blue Coral Supreme includes: Full Service Wash, Blue Coral hand wax, RainX, under carriage wash, rust inhibitor, MAGIC tire Treatment, WHEEL BRITE wheel cleaner, cargo area vacuumed & Fragrance and the standard wash which includes: Interior vacuumed, ashtray emptied, interior windows cleaned, interior dusted, exterior gently washed and towel dried. Since I did not watch what they did I have no idea if it was truly hand waxed, if Wheel Brite was used, if RainX was used or if they used the Magic tire treament. I do know when I returned 2 + hours later the sticker I asked to be removed was still there. The interior of the car was not touched at all. Dust was still on the dashboards and doors and the inside widows had not been cleaned. When I arrived home I had to finish cleaning the interior windows. I checked the trunk and that was not vaccumed either. Now this makes me think that if the obvious items were not done chances are the items I did not see such as tire cleaner, RainX and the Blue Coral Hand wax were not done either. I was getting the car cleaned as a gift for someone else.I did not want to clean the car thus paid Fire House for this service. Now I must take time out of my day to complete what I paid for but did not receive. I have gone to Fire House for the last 5 years, but today was my last time.
