Great beer!
Posted by tgkortuem on 02/09/2009
My husband and I meet here for a beer whenever possible. They make their own and anyone who goes here and wastes their time ordering a domestic is an idiot. Their beer is awesome, try a sampler if its your first time. The food isn't bad, but the beer is definately the strong spot.

Good food & Great beer at Milwaukee's Ale House
Posted by WebMedia on 12/06/2008
Its cool, because it's a community staple. The owners have done a great job and it is always a solid place. I'm a huge fan. It' s great for lunch or for meeting groups out. Check it out in Milwaukee and their new junior resturant out in Grafton - very different type restaurants, same great beer.

AWFUL!!
Posted by lollyni on 06/16/2008
I have had two horrible experiences at this place and was surprised at how often I heard the same. I recently was on their patio and waited 2 hours for any food - if you could call it that... Reheated nachos with cheese too hard to even chip at with a knife. When I complained, a very rude little man who called himself the "GM" assured me that I could have a cup of soup or chips for free...ARE YOU SERIOUS?? Just wanted $$$ back but was told "My hands are tied." - Sound familiar??? Waitresses even apologized for the rudeness of the GM - When I asked how to contact the owner, they stated that this shifty little *** was an owner....WHERE DO I GO FROM HERE?

Overcharged and told "OUR HANDS ARE TIED"
Posted by ascott7 on 01/01/2008
I was recently overcharged at this restuarant by 100%. When I called the Milwaukee Ale House they said that there was nothing they could do and that it was "just a mistake". When I confirmed that it was the error of their waitress they agreed that it was , but apparently it didn't matter they wouldn't reverse the charge. The GM and the restaurant manager both claimed "their hands were tied" and that they could not offer me any help. I told them i was dissapointed tha they were burdening the customer, because of the waitresses mistake and the Restaurant Manager practically hung up on me. I guess they are not concerned with keeping my business. I thought lost business was a bad thing. I guess for the Milwaukee ale house bad business is what they do and unfortunatley their hands are tied on changing it!

not great. I wish they weren't so big. I think the service and food might be better if they were able to concentrate on a smaller number of people.

Ale House & Louise's Demise
Posted by mewzer on 10/03/2005
My husband & I are fairly regular patrons there. Our all time favorite microbrew is Louie's Demise. Great beer with a great story behind it. Bartenders and management at the Ale House have always treated us very well. Food is good but not great, but the Fish Fry is one of the best we've tasted and its generous. Happy Hour prices are a bargain. Ale House sponsors quite a few charity events that are alot of fun. And they always have great entertainment, even during the supper hour.

Ale House needs upgrading
Posted by mba3boiz on 11/13/2003
I have been to the Ale House 4 times int the last year.Except for the wings, the food has been marginal at best. They were rude charging me a cover charge to eat when there was a band. Also another time they put someones drinks on my tab and kicked me out when I disputed it!.Too many good places to go, don't need bad food and an attitude.

The Way they all should be!

Good food, good beer (micro and domestic) and drinks, good atmosphere, good music. All these great things combined with good people and you have the best hangout in the Third Ward (or maybe the entire city). Very spacious. A first class facility.
