Knowledgable, but difficult to work with

Very knowledgable, but talks very fast, and for a long time, so that I have to wait for him to finish to get a word in edge-wise. Once you speak, he listens, but the appointment often seems needlessly long because he talks so much about things that are obvious or repetitive. Also difficult to get a hold of in between appointments (you actually have to fax your message to him, and then call the office to find out his response). Expensive, doesn't process insurance. Requires a certain number of appointments with him, including having appointments with him before getting bloodwork done, which all adds up $$$ - wise, and gives me the feeling of being scammed. That said, he is knowledgable and open to alternative medicine and approaches, which I appreciate.
