Poor service!
Posted by broz317 on 09/11/2008
My wife and I went here for our wedding anniversary, the seating was prompt, and the food was very good, however the service was terrible! Our waiter was not knowledgeable of the wine menu at all, we asked him what he recommended on the wine menu, and he stated that "we have it all". We waited approx 45 minutes for our steaks, which were good! We were so disappointed that we did not even stay for desert. The waiter made it seem like it was a chore for him to service us! This was not our first time at a higher end steak house, we normally frequent three to four different steak houses every year, we know what to expect service wise, and this place did not live up to our standards! Prime Rib, Mortons, and Ruth Cris are are all better service wise, IMO!

Beautiful dining

Three of my fellow support staff members and I had a Christmas lunch at this restaurant. We were treated like queens from entry to departure. The food was really good and the service was wonderful. They had no problems when we asked if we could change our table because we were at the window and the sun made one of the ladies a little ill. They moved us promptly. I recommend you treat yourself to the Capital Grille. You will not be sorry.

Great Experience
Posted by markkim00 on 02/15/2007
Went to the Capital Grille last weekend to celebrate my birthday. I was expecting pretty good food and service given that it was a well establish high end chain restaurant. What my friends and I got was exceptional food and service. Since this is a steakhouse I only really need to say that the steaks were superb. The decor was elegant. Not to dark, not to bright. Not to noisy either. The best part of the dinner there was the service. Everyone from the host to the waiter to the busers were courteous and attentive. Water was topped off immediately. Plates were cleared in an orderly fashion. Our waiter was very helpful throughout the meal in suggesting wines and various complements to the main course. The restaurant also provided a complimentary desert platter with 3 different large pieces of cheesecake. Overall for the six of us, the total came out to $80 a person, which included, entrees for each of us, a few appetizers, a couple additional desert plates and 2 bottles of lower priced wine and tax and tip. I definitely recommend for a special occasion.

CITYPEEK Baltimore Restaurants loves Capital Grille
Posted by bestintown on 07/05/2006
CITYPEEK knows the best in town, we love Capital Grille. Especially the wines by the glass, not typical, great for true wine lovers. And the tuna, caesar and steaks are terrific. Fine service.
Book a table online @ citypeek . com and eat at one of Batlimore's Best Restaurants!

I had the best Calamari ever tonight! To follow, my waitor Steve was quite possibly the best I have ever had. No one has ever made me feel quite so possibly at home even though this was the day after Thanksgiving!. Order a bottle that Steve perfectly describes like the Jordan and you will be so happily be supised at the accuracy or perhaps ask for the steak suggestion of your liking and he will satisfy. All the staff will guarentee your time to be excellent .....just give them a try! A true step above in any other restaurant in Baltimore!
