Netflixhttp://www.netflix.comWE LOVE NETFLIX!Everything in life should be this easy! Ahhhhh and what a wonderful world it would be!I play around with my queue all the time, rearranging movies and planning my week. (More movies for me when my husband is traveling. And more children's movies when I need to get more done in the house) They have an awesome selection and are a great company to deal with. One of my DVD's never got registered as being returned. I assured them that I had in fact returned it and that was that. No questions asked.Simple and honest. LOVE NETFLIX!

To Netflix or Not to Netflix, That is the Question
Posted by Chris and Rhonda R. on 08/19/2006
The Answer: Do Netflix!I resisted the urge of joining Netflix for quite some time, but recently decided to take a chance on this new way of renting movies. It was not too daring to do and I have to admit, I recommend it with this pre-caution: "if you are married make sure your husband can access the account and select movies." I selected a reasonable but frugal account type. Two movies at a time, unlimited. If you have a family of different personality-types you may want to be able to rent more than that at one time. You can NOT hear the movie when someone is complaining in your ear.Selecting a movie is fairly easy, but for me it is going to take some getting used to. I can't remember movie titles and I don't fall into any certain movie profile either.Automated suggestions for rentals do not fit my mood. If I could make a suggestion to Netflix, perhaps they should have a genre for the emotional movie viewer like me. Oh, and include a coupon for ice-cream, too! ... At least my husband will enjoy the ice-cream if I pick a movie he hates!

The Netflix Company

This review is not for any movie but for the company itself. I do not like the way you steal credit numbers from people and then you ignore numerous requests to stop sending these DVD's. Your phone lines are always busy or, what I think is taken off the hook, so calls cannot go through. Your service is customer service is below poor, if at all possible and I will never recommend you to anyone to order from. The only thing I would tell people is to stay away from you at all costs. I give you an F-.

quick, easy, cheap way to rent lots of movies

We've been Netflix subscribers for years and love it. We live WAY out in rural WA state and are amazed at the quick turn-around time. The few times we've received a damaged DVD we let them know on line and they send out a replacement before they even get the bad one back. Finding new and interesting movies is easy too.

read the "sharonapartment" review and tell me she's not completely demented. netflix is the leader for a reason. any subscriber knows that. "sharonapartment" sounds frustrated with her job @ blockbuster. understandable.

Low lifes

Netflix has a history of screwing over their customers who get a lot of movies. I finally got tired of being skipped over for new releases and called to complain. The response was that if I didn't like that policy I could cancel. So much for concern for customers. After more than 6 years, I had enough and canceled.

If you return a DVD by mail and they do not happen to have your next choice, they could mail you a DVD, not that day, but the next day from across the country. I live in California and I was sent an email yesterday saying they received by returned DVD, but they would be mailing me one from New Jersey tomorrow and I would receive it on Friday.
So they receive a DVD on Monday and it takes until Friday to get the next DVD if it is not in stock. Apparently their system is too stupid to go to the next one on your list and mail you that one. Well that is not true either because one time the movie I request was in stock per my queue and they mailed the next on in the queue.
So I guess it just depends who is picking the orders that day.
To wait a week to receive a DVD defeats the purpose of receiving your next choice in a reasonable amount of time.
Not High Tech, Not High Touch Either, just High Idiots!!!
