    The Swiss Chalet at Lake Tahoe has been in business for decades; I grew up in Tahoe and this was one of the best known restaurants not only for their fine dining, but the incredible family who own and operate it. Although I don't live in Tahoe any longer, every time I return it's gotta be one of our stops. The food is always excellent as is the service and in all our years (my family combined would be over 40 years) the integrity of the owners/operators is stellar.

    I have been a patron of this restaurant for four decades and they have always been very honest. This is an excellent restaurant if you like authentic Swiss cuisine. The escargot is the best I have ever had and I travel and stay in France every year.

    Check your credit card statement!

    WARNING: After you pay your diner in this restaurant with your credit card, check your statement!!!! I signed for $39 but when I checked my statement I saw that they in fact took $41 while I included a normal tip. If you really want to go to this restaurant, just pay cash. NEVER USE YOUR CREDIT CARD WITH THEM!!! THEY SIMPLY CANNOT BE TRUSTED.
