I have eaten here several time...

I have eaten here several times. Everytime the food was wonderful and the service was great. The parking can be a problem, but just pull up to the door and use the valet service.

One of the finest that Columbus has to offer

What a great place. The "American Cuisine" is very good. The service is always top notch, and the atmosphere is wonderful. A great place for a family dinner or a business meeting. Highly recommended.

    Wonderful Evening!

Special occasion or not this is a GREAT place to go! We are new to the area and chose Lindey's for our anniversary. The German Village location is "cool" to say the least. The ambience is fantastic for a dinner with friends or a private dinner! I was very pleased with the food and thought the prices were very reasonable!

    Over $$$$$

Wellllllllllllll...........Been here and was not really impressed until the bill came........Pow. Food was good and the service okay and the place was clean. Just way too much $$$$$ for what you get. There are just too many places that are as good, have better parking, and more comfortable. Would I go back? Maybe if the wife ask and it was for something special but don't expect me to drop by for a couple of beers and chat anytime soon.

    Worth every penny

Fantastic appetizers and great entrees. I don't even care what I order anymore. I can pick anything off the menu and I'll like it. The steak is great, but such a waste when there's so much more on this menu that I'd like to try. For the price, it's definitely not a spot I'd go to frequently, but for any special occasion Lindey's is always a treat.

    A Columbus Classic

    Posted by Mixlea on 10/03/2008

Perhaps the best Lobster Bisque in all the world...and if you doubt that, then you have not been to Lindey's. The service is spectacular and the food leaves the taste palate in blissful disarray. Reservation highly recommended. Ask for a quiet room if the "main" room too busy. Columbus apparently has a trend for noisy atmosphere in it's restaurants--but Lindey's manages to keep a classic romance, yet still adhere to this mantra. The patio is incredible in the summer. Can't wait to try to Sunday Brunch menu!

    Great romantic experience

    Posted by ohioborn on 02/21/2008

My wife and I just celebrated our 25th anniversary with a romantic dinner at Lindey's. This was our first time at the restaurant and it was a wonderful experience. The atmosphere was great along with great service. We both had the Fillet Mignon and it was delicious (melt in your mouth). I had arrainged for flowers to be at our table and this went off without any problems. I would highly recommend this restaurant for any special occassion, and we will be back.

    Best in City, Bar None.

I lived in Columbus for 3 years, so I know the town well. People used to talk up Lindey's all the time. It was not until I left the city that I actually returned and had dinner there. My bad. It is without question the best restaurant in town, and not to sound snobbish, but I've eaten all over the states (French Laundry, Bouchon, Madison Park, Union Square, Gramercy, Le Cirque, David Burke, Robuchon, etc), and as far as Columbus goes, this place is the best. It has its own class and charm, located in German Village, which is the nicest part of the city. The food is always great, and on two occasions my waiters were aspiring chefs, which is a great thing. The menu is pretty standard, but again, it's all great. Everyone in my party last time (March 2007) loved everything, from the chopped salad, the crab cakes, the veal, the bone-in-ny, and the chicken...it's all great. In the summer and spring you can eat outdoors and it's very pleasant. No, I don't work for them :-) But I always think that when I read reviews. I live in NYC. The only other place in town, which to me has the charm, is nearby Deli called Katzinger's (but that's for lunch...a must go). It's the one place I truly miss in Columbus...and Ohio Stadium, of course. Lindey's is tops in city for upbeat romantic, small groups, fun, first timers, and repeat offenders.

Wow! Wow! Wow! Keep that 5 star tradition going!

Impressed with the service, the food, the setting, there's just something about a place that gets constant focused attention from ownership so that it doesn't get that stodgy passe feeling of some places that try to bank on a once good name. Still the best the progeniture of BDI (I know technically not but culinary art flows in the veins) - almost beats my Bon Vie save for the expense and location. Highly recommend.
