what is that, angel hair in my pasta? uh uh, it's from Tacoma Rescue Mission!
Posted by peterziel on 03/18/2007
there are no words to describe the grossness of this place. Over the years it has always has bad food and service as it has been a magnet for waiters and cooks fired from other places like IHOP and Denny's. Often you will find hair in your salad, the entres aren't cooked and the waiters regularly pour their saliva into water and food, you can even see them doing this as you walk back to the bathroom. Liquid bowel movements are always complementary with every meal and they will charge you for your napkin, drink glass and the lice-infested, vintage 1900 armchairs you are forced to sit on the edge of in fear of an STD.
Needless to say, if you still go here after reading something like this then you are probably a candidate for the darwin awards.

I guess I can't always be impressed
Posted by Jen J. on 04/15/2006
Usually I have always rated Old Spaghetti Factory with high marks, but not today. On a recent visit with a large party, we had an awful wait staff. We were seated quicker than normal, but the service was horrible. They took forever to bring beverages to the table and bread. I think we were there a good 35 minutes before we even gave them our order. Bad service that night.

Spaghetti Factory - Old Time charm
Posted by Jen J. on 04/05/2006
I'm always impressed with the Old Spaghetti Factory. They have the most beautiful interior and nicely decorated tables and chairs. Beautiful building! The food is very good, and the prices are extremely reasonable. I often take large parties there because it won't cost an arm and a leg to eat there. Your meal will include soup or salad, a loaf or two of bread for your table, your entree and either spumoni or vanilla ice cream. YUM!

Spaghetti Factory - Amazing place, great food
Posted by Melissa May F. on 03/04/2006
The Old Spaghetti Factory is not at all like what the name might imply - it's in no way resembling a factory at all. On the contrary, it's in a beautiful, historic old building with chandeliers and Victorian furnishings. When I was there, there was a waiting line outside, not to mention the one inside! We waited a long time for the table. Once inside, I could see beautiful little seating areas that were actually other things. I saw a gazebo, and a small room closed off with colored Oriental screens. I ate in what appeared to be an actual, antique trolley, which was in the middle of the room! The meals were amazingly affordable, all you could eat for about $10, and that included dessert! The food was delicious, but honestly what I most remember is the incredible, unique decor and ambiance!

I can't see how someone would say anything negative about the OLF!! They are awesome. Yes, I agree the wait is long, but you get good food: unlimited bread, salad, your meal and ice cream all for one low price. The OSF is better than any others of its kind (like Cucina Squared, and the Olive Garden). The servers are the friendliest in town.
The only downside is parking, they need a bigger lot, and the street is pretty dark at night.

Always good, long lines mean good food! Never a dissappointment. Always a must for out-of-state visitors.

The Old lets wait around Factory
Posted by jmauseth on 02/06/2003
I for some reason I get fooled again and again to try The Old Spaghetti Factory one more time. I was fortunate to have the Lynnwood site open a couple of years ago. Thinking, no more drives to downtown. But Wait Wait Wait Wait...poor service, food that you could make yourself...endless free pop....maybe when the waiterpersons arent planning an afterwork Keg Party, stale bread, uncomfortable seats and a team of softball players at the table next to you and your family. I leave hungry and remember the days when you could get a table at Buca de Bepos.

If you love pasta and the like then you will love this place. The food is wonderful and the cable car in the main dining area is a great touch.

A good place to take kids or for someone on a budget. Good value for food above pedestrian.
