Katie Dudley, APRN, FNP-C, is a board-certified nurse practitioner who specializes in Urology. She received accolades for her research at Harding University where she earned a 4.0 GPA, as well as being inducted into Sigma Theta Tau. She began her nursing education at Oklahoma Christian University where she was Magna Cum Laude and immediately started working in the operating room at Integris Baptist. Dudley grew up in Chickasha and was Valedictorian in 2006. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, camping, women's Bible study, watching crime shows, and cheering on the OKC Thunder.
Kidney Cancer
Gold Humanism Honor Society, and was awarded the Podilarian award by his fellow classmates. He went on to the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City for his Urologic Surgery residency. While in training, he learned the latest techniques in urologic surgery including an extensive training using the da Vinci robot for procedures treating prostate cancer, kidney cancer, kidney reconstruction, and female pelvic reconstruction. With his wife Heather and daughter Elouise, he has moved home to Oklahoma, to join Norman Urology. He has also established the robotic urology program at Norman Regional Hospital, performing the first robotic prostatectomy in Norman. He sees all patients with urologic concerns and performs a broad range of urologic procedures.

A small camera is passed through the urethra into the bladder and into the tube that drains the kidney to the bladder (the ureter). This is performed to treat kidney stones or diagnose problems in the kidney and ureter

Urinary tract infections are one of the most common conditions urologists treat, with women being especially vulnerable. Scientists estimate 50-60% of adult women will contract a UTI in their lifetime, with older women among the most susceptible to this type of infection.

A procedure to diagnose prostate cancer. A small ultrasound probe is placed into the rectum to visualize the prostate. After the prostate is numbed, a small needle is used to obtain small samples of tissue for diagnosis.
Radiology
You’ll be assisted to one of our operating rooms where a qualified surgical team will care for you during your procedure. Prior to starting your procedure, our team will conduct a “time out” to verify the correct patient, planned procedure, and discuss any important items for your care. Depending on your plan procedure, you may have a physician, and advanced practice providers, registered nurses, surgical technologist, and/or radiology technicians present during your procedure.

Dr. Edward Dakil is a board certified urologist. He is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma and attended medical school at the University of Oklahoma, College of Medicine. He completed training in general surgery followed by completion of his urology residency at University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center.
Vasectomy
In general, you should allow approximately an hour for a cystoscopy, prostate biopsy, or vasectomy.  Procedures requiring anesthesia may require up to a four hour stay, however this is dependent on your procedure type and how you, individually recover from the effects of anesthesia.
