Falls of Neuse Doesn't Fall Short of Perfect
Posted by LetTheVoiceRingTrue on 02/24/2009
I just stopped in at the new Autobell location on Falls of Neuse Rd. and have to say that my experience was exceptional! This new location is so clean and the employees are so friendly that I had a smile on my face for hours after leaving their parking lot. I've used a competitor wash in the area before and let's just say that they didn't convey the quality, nor the peace of mind I thought was needed through their appearance. From the moment that i drove on Autobell's lot, the feeling that I received was friendly and efficient. I was in and out in 10-15 and the quality was great! I'll just say that Autobell has earned my patronage for years to come!

they do a o.k job and are super fast. more concerned about processing cars through the mill than doing a good job. for my monthly wash I will look elsewhere ofr $20 per month.

If you care about your vehicle ... don't go to AutoBell
Posted by apexwrangler on 12/03/2008
I'm reviewing the AutoBell at McCullers Crossroads on 401 South. I don't usually write reviews or anything but I just have to tell somebody how bad their service is. I just wanted to get my car washed. It ended up costing me $25.00 and it actually looked worse than when I brought it in! AutoBell should be forced to take an oath like Doctors have to .... "first of all, do no wrong". What is the problem with this franchise? I think they have a good business model but, man oh man, have they EVER screwed it up. Uncaring
unsavorable employees who could give a flip about the looks of your car. (or truck).
People - I can tell ..... Don't AutoBell.

Worst excuse for a

I've heard the jingle on the radio and you probably have also .... "People can tell ... when you AutoBell"..... Yeah people can tell because your car/truck looks like $#%& when they are done with it.
I went to the AutoBell at McCullers Corners (401 and 10-10) because I was going to sell my truck and I wanted it to look good, and I especially wanted the wheels to look good because they are fancy chrome and the brake dust had dulled them. So I pulled into a parking spot and right-quick a fellow helped me open my door. He said "Can I help you?" I said, "I hope so ... I'm selling my truck and need to get it washed but my main concern is getting the wheels cleaned and shiny like new". He said, "Ok sir, no problem". I said, "How much is it?" He said, "$21.95". I said, "Wow, there's a drive-through across the road, near the Food Lion, for 6 bucks". He says, "But we do a much better job". I thought - ok, I'm trying to sell my truck so maybe it's worth it - so like an idiot I said, "Ok".
I got closer to the truck and saw that nothing - absolutely nothing - had been done to the wheels. I said, "I told the guy I wanted the wheels cleaned more than anything else!" This guy says, "Let me see". He wipes at them a second with a dry rag and says, "it won't come off". I was getting a little hot under the collar and I said, "I just paid 22 bucks for nothing!" and he said, (listen closely folks 'cause you will hear it often from AutoBell trained employees) ... he says (and I quote) "Well I'm sorry you're not satisfied with the service you contracted for ..... " I said, "I contracted to have my wheels cleaned!" .... and he said the exact same thing AGAIN. Like a friggin android! He handed me my keys and moved on to the next vehicle. I stood there for a few seconds, shook the cobwebs outta my head, and layed down a patch of rubber they are still trying to scrape up. ( note: I went home and got those wheels to shine like mirros with just a little Meguiers and elbow grease).

Just keep driving
Posted by smartshopperNC on 06/09/2008
I've used this particular AutoBell location quite a few times because it's near my home. Not a single time have I been happy with the results. A bunch of kids work at this place and as soon as you pull up they're trying to open your car door and rush you out. They begin with interior vacuuming, which ALWAYS looks terrible. I ALWAYS have to ask them to re-vacuum and it still looks terrible. Also, I pay for the package that includes fragrance and on more than 1 occasion they just did not spray the frangrance. Make sure to watch your vehicle the entire time because these kids are rough---they jump in out of the car--accelerate and tap the brakes violently(while moving the car)with the driver door wide open--put their legs/knees on the seats--spary the window cleaner inside the car aimlessly--and this is what did it for me the last time I went.....I turned all the switches OFF before I got out of my vehicle, mainly I don't want the A/C running or CD player open for business when I'm not in the car...when I got back in my A/C had been turned ON and up full blast. Car detailers should NEVER EVER touch switches inside your vehicle for their pleasure. Finally, they always move the driver's seat and that just plain ticks me off because all they do is move the car 10 feet after the machine is finished washing it. I finally searched online for other auto detailers in this area, but there are none, unless I go out of my way. I tried a mobile detailing company, where they come to you. The cost is a little more, but the professionalism is worth every penny. Don't stop at AutoBell because it's the only carwash in your area or because it's on the way home, just keep driving! If you have a nice vehicle and want it to stay nice, locate a professional/ knowledgable/ experienced mobile detailer OR just go a little out of your way to find another detail shop and get your vehicle detailed correctly.

Terrible Car Wash & Terrible Customer Service
Posted by lhc123 on 04/11/2008
I'll never return to the Auto Bell on Millbrook Road in Raleigh. I feel they are very over priced for the level of service you receive. The back portion of my SUV was never cleaned or vacuumed. The windshield was not cleaned properly. The bumpers were still dirty. The armour all application was streaky and incomplete. I called their customer service line to voice a complaint. I was told a manager would call me back. But no such luck. I called again, but still no returned call by the manager.
Stay away and save your money.

Worst car wash ever
Posted by rtper on 03/30/2008
I hadn't washed my pick-up truck for months because of the drought so I finally decided to go to the AutoBell at 8113 Fayeteville Rd. (McCullers). I drove up and two guys approached the truck, one opened the door and motioned me out. I started to get out and I said "How much is it"? He said, "Talk to him" and pointed at the other guy. Guy1 got in the truck and started driving it throught the wash tunnel. Guy2 tried to talk me into AutoBell's $55 Special. (I'm looking at my truck already getting sprayed.) After the initial shock I finally got their cheapest "special" for $28.00 after he walked me inside to the register. I watched my truck go through the "process", watched them spray the tires with something and clean the inside. I was waved over and Guy1 says "How does it look?" I said, "Good, except for all this dirt". I showed him the filthy rails and fenders and he says - and I quote - "Geez, I don't know how the machine missed all THAT!" He tried to wipe off the dirt with a dry rag and scratched the hell out of my red Hemi! He looked embarrassed, I was mad - and as I stepped up into the cab I slipped and just about broke my neck because they had armor-alled the rubber area of my chrome step rails!
I hate being scammed and AutoBell is a scam folks Over-priced to the point of being a joke - a "who knows what" chemical mix being sprayed on your vehicle as the lovely signs light up, and a "lick and a promise" wipe down at the end.
Save your money and your vehicle. DO NOT GO TO AUTOBELL !!
