I was one of Marti Woodruff's Birth Moms When I found out I was pregnant I was mortified. My husband and I had just moved to Fayetteville, AR with our 2 children. We didn't know anyone so we had no real support system. When I found Marti I felt like God had sent me a guardian angel. Not only did she handle the entire adoption process, she became like a mom and a friend. Even now, 4 months after the baby was born, we are still friends. There wasn't ever a time that she wasn't there when I needed her. Whether it was just because I needed a ride to my doctor's appointment or to ball my eyes out while she hugged me and helped me to remember that what I was doing was "selfless and noble!" Giving up my baby was the hardest decision I've ever had to make but having someone like Marti Woodruff by my side gave me the comfort and assurance I needed to get through it.
