I went there for my appt. on time it was an hour before any started my hair. I told her what i wanted she said that she could do which was a sew in weave going back. It only takes 2 packs of hair normally when i get that style done some where else. She is almost done when she says that i am almost out of hair i look to see what she did and most of the middle of my head was not filled in.She could see i was not happy she tried to fix it but it is not up to my standards so i am out the money for the hair and time it took to get it done and for the less then poor services and job that was done. I will never go back there or recommend that any one go there for a sew in weave. For the price they charge to sew in they should be best at what they do and not below average..........

I searched for a salon that did sew-ins, and found Fanta's business card in a local beauty supply store. I called to inquire about this service and found that the price was a little higher than I expected for sew-ins, but received a first time discount of 20%. So instead of the full head sew-in service at $150.00 I was charged $130.00 for a full head. I was told that I needed to bring in my on extensions which was not a problem, but to my surprise they did not style (cut/trim/shape) the hair upon completion. I didn't know that prior to making my appointment. I thought that this would be all inclusive in the price. So if your looking to have this service performed just know that they do not style the hair they just put it in (be it sewing, bonding, twisting, etc. etc.). This wasn't a big issue for me, however it did force me to think quick on where to go right after to have the extensions trimmed and shaped to my face. Overall though, she (Fanta) did an awesome job with the sew-ins it was just like I wanted it to look (a wrap look). Its now been six weeks and time to get them re-done. I've just made my second appoint to get the same look. This process and the look that I'm wearing works well for me I've gotten compliments and looks from others (especially the men) like never before. It's all good. One last thing, I felt that the place could have been a little neater than I saw it, but again I was pleased with the job, and the process was not long for sew-ins 4.5 hours.

The service was GREAT!!!!!! She was on time and the establishment was very clean. They are about there business I was in and out in under 8 hours which is hard to find when you a talking about getting kinky twists are micro braids. I got so many compliments on my kinky twists. They stayed neat for 3 months which was excellent. If you want top of the line service at good prices please go check it out.

Where do I start??? I went to Fanta's after shopping around for a good salon. I was looking for quality as well as a good price. I called Fanta's and spoke to a gentleman that gave me price quotes of $160-200, and hair buy one get one free. He also told me that since there would be two women doing my hair it would only take 5 hours. This was the first mistake. I called the day before to clarify and to see if I needed to have my hair washed, dried, or anything before I came. I was told no, she would take care of it and again told me that I could get hair there. I show up for my appt at 10am.....she only has 2 bags of hair for micros and of course they dont match. I go around the corner to get my own hair so there went the buy one get one free. I get back and she tells me her blow dryer doesn't work but her sister is on the way but not to worry because I'll still be done fast. After a hour of waiting, her sister shows up to pick her up and take her to get a blow dryer. After another 45min they return with food....and get started on my hair. While getting my hair done I had to watch some African soap opera that I couldn't understand, listen to them go back and forth talking, laughing not having a clue whats being said. It was worse than being in a nail salon. Besides that, they took 3 walkins which meant I no longer had 2 women working my head. What should have been a 5 hour appt became 8 hrs of hell! To top it off she still tried to charge me $200!, saying the inconvenence wasn't her fault....Overall, the service was horrible but the braids looked good. I still would not go back or refer anyone to them. Anyone!!!

I went to this place based off the reviews. Big mistake. I went there and had to wait 2 hours for some to come braid my hair. The owner was busy braiding a client she had the night before. Then she didn't have any hair for the kinky twist I was told the price of $180 included the hair. But to my surprise I was charge $30 plus the $180 because she didnt't have the hair and she had to go get some. I would not go back and I wouldn't recommend her to anyone. And they don't honor this ad on this listing page. They claim $180 included the 20% discount.

I HAVE BEEN COMING TO FANTA'S FOR A YEAR NOW. I HAVE BEEN GETTING MY HAIR BRAIDED FOR YEARS, IN OTHER BRAIDING SALON AND I HAVE NEVER BEEN AS PLEASED WITH THE SERVICE AND PROFESSIONALISM AS WITH FANTAS.SHE IS ALWAYS AVAILABLE AND READY WHENEVER I NEED HER. MY 4 YR OLD DAUGHTER ALSO GET SERVICES DONE AND SHE ALWAYS LOVES HER HAIR WHEN SHE LEAVES AND THATS A PLUS....

I have been coming to Fanta for over 3 years to get my hair braided. I have never considered going anywhere else, not to mention the fact that I travel from Fort Worth to Dallas. I have gotten cornrows to kinky twist to micros and have never been disappointed. She always makes her self available to her customers not to mention she knows what she is doing. This is well worth the drive!
