    Good

wanted to see movies but didn't get a chance

Posted by bernadette j. on 07/02/2007

My husband and I go to the movies at least once a week and we don't always get to see the movies we want or we are not sure about paying $7.50-9.50 to see a movie we may not like, silver cinema is a great alturnative. Old place and no stadium seating but if you are on a budget just want to save a buck great value. Concession not any cheaper.

    Fair

    a too expensive cheap theater

Posted by steve m. on 08/20/2005

This theater shows movies well after they are done playing in the first run theaters. These days movies seem to be coming out so fast on DVD that I think they only show up at this theater about a week or two before they end up on video. It is not the cleanest of theaters and it does not have stadium seating. In addition, their popcorn is pretty tasteless. The architecture of the theatre is pretty cool and it has neat lighting effects that seem like a cross between an old star Trek episode and a disco revival. The tickets are cheaper here than in a regular theater, but seeing as how you can wait a week or two and just rent the film for about the same price it just doesn't seem that worth it to me. Maybe if the popcorn was better.
