I recently moved back to Chicago and was searching for a great place to get a facial. I was told to try Lustre. I've been to many spas in my time and I absolutely loved this one. The atmosphere was relaxing and intimate. The facial was a real one. Sometimes they steam you and just do the same stuff I can do at home with my endless collection of products. But, here I got the real thing. The microderm abrasion was great! The waxing was great! I will be back for all of it soon!

We wander around like lost puppies with ingrown hairs and uneven eyebrows to salon after unsatisfying salon. We stop and wonder, "Does it exist? Is there really a place where I can be waxed, extracted and massaged with no attitude and amazing service?" The answer is yes. The salon is Lustre. Your days of worryin' and wanderin' are over. This salon is super cozy and you'll always receive a warm welcome with your unbeatable service.
The custom facial is great for trouble skin, or any skin for that matter. Their skincare line, Eminence, is completely organic and free of chemicals. These products are used for the facials. You will love/buy them. Cynthia gave me a handful of samples for products she thought would work well with my skin type (the epitome of combination skin) , so I didn't have to buy them then stick them in the 'not-exactly-what-I-was-looking-for-but maybe-for-another-season' drawer. They also do some top-notch waxing. Of course it hurts, you're ripping hairs out of your skin, but they're quick, sanitary and give great maintenance tips. My roommate loves their massages as well, so that's next on my list.
It definitely beats every other salon in the 'hood, including the pricier/snobbier ones. AND you can get 20% off your first service w/ the city search coupon!

I found lustre skin boutique about a year ago now. Before then I was running around crazy trying to find some one who could do a decent eyebrow wax and some one i was comfortable enough for the bikini area. Admittingly I found them because they had became one of my clients through my job. They are a small skin boutique nestled into quaint spot on Damen, right across the street from my house (love the convienence!) and have always done a fantastic job with my eyebrows and other waxings :) I personally see cynthia and she is absolutely amazing. I know when we move it won't be as convienent to still go there but I would be hard-pressed to try any one else since I am such a fan of Lustre. If you want friendly service, good prices and quality care, Lustre is definitely worth a try!

Friendly/Personal Service; Painless Brows!

I have had a few services performed at Lustre and it is a new favorite! Cynthia always does an excellent job on my eyebrows! She has been accommodating to my last-minute scheduling. There is easy parking for a few cars in the rear. Service is friendly and personable, prices are reasonalbe. A very fashionable and cozy boutique!

I have had a few facials before coming to Lustre and now I don't need to ever go anywhere else. Jennifer was my facialist both times and I'm convinced she is best around. She is attentive and takes her work seriously. It is so relaxing ane enjoyable yet really effective. I've referred a couple friends there and they rave too. I would recommend a facial by Jennifer in a heartbeat.

What a great suprise!! This unique, friendly spa makes one feel like a queen, or king, as the case might be. Cynthia has a real talent for making you feel at ease. You can relax and enjoy a wonderful experience. The facial massage seems to melt years away. The products that are used are first class, plus organic. I left the establishment feeling renewed. Can't wait to retun.

Both Jennifer & Cynthia are knowledgeable and quite friendly. What's great about Lustre is how cozy you'll feel walking in as well as being able to feel comfortable in knowing you have someone who knows what they're doing.
Their services can also be customized based upon not only what you want but also their recommendations on what your skin requires to look its best. The prices are reasonable.
