i recently went to thunderbird bbq on a weekend night where every other place in downtown was packed and over priced. i went with a group of friends and everyone ate and drank. beers are $1.50 and the food came out quick and hot. i had the abc burger which could possibly be the best thing i have ever put in my mouth. my friends had bbq, and i don't think anyone had a single scrap of food left on their plate. we stayed to drink and dance, as there was a great band playing in the back room, and the staff was very friendly and attentive. if you haven't been, go!

what a great place!!! after sharing a burger and ribs with my wife i don't think i will ever be satisfied eating another burger anywhere else. the food came out fast and fresh, and the beer was cold and cheap. i don't know what these other people are thinking lining up across the street to eat the marginal food at the rio grande when they can come over and have a cold beer and an excellent meal. if you haven't been, i suggest you go and continue going back.

    Denver is Clueless

This town really has no idea how to eat. All but a few restaurants that I've visited (since moving here for work 2 months ago) is utter garbage. Yes, San Francisco is known for it's excellent cuisine (so it's tough for me to go most places and be happy) but I don't think I'm being spoiled when I say this place simply sucks. The burgers seems to be of good quality meet and they're char broiled so the taste is decent - but everything else is of very low quality. From the lettuce and tomato to the bun and the fries - none of it was fresh and they all seemed like they came straight from Sams Club. My husband had the ribs and left all but two on the plate as the quality and taste was unbearable. Truly a depressing experience.

I love their burgers...! If you're looking for a true charbroiled burger, Thunderbird does it right. The lettuce, tomato, onion, and anything else you want on it, is always quality and fresh - everytime! And it doesn't take long to receive your order. Very friendly owner and staff...!
