Part Markup 500%-1000% Ripoff

My truck went in with a broken brake line on the front, and left with every other aspect of the brake system replaced (except the problem). After picking up my truck (and an $800 bill) I drove approximately 3 miles, hit the brakes, and ended up with the same problem as I brought it there with. I then became suspicious,and reviewed my bill, and noticed part prices that were 'out of this world' Most part prices were marked up 500%, and some were marked up 1000% (yes there is NOT and extra zero there). I confronted Tim Harris the owner about the part prices, and he gave me some lip service about the cost of parts having labor costs built into them. I quickly pointed out that there was a separate labor charge at $65 per hour (x3hours) on the invoice. He could not give me a straight answer, other than he is sorry. He suggested I do my due diligence next time, and go to several shops. He did offer me a few free oil changes, which I told him he could keep. I would not trust his shop to work on anything of mine - ever. I know he owns another 2 Meineke's (one is in Plaistow). Beware. Their claim to 'economical labor' is overshawdowed by ridiculous parts prices. This was a complete and total ripoff.
