This place is also not kosher. It may be good but I do not want you (like I did) make a special trip and find out that you cant eat there. Check out Renaissance Produce - its near the UTC mall.

    Very Good

Great wine list, view, food. Service dicey

I've eaten here many times since I moved to San Diego. I always make a reservation and always wait. Getting a table with a view is dicey. If you request one, be sure to arrive early and wait for it. You'll be waiting for it anyway. The decor is a bit dated, especially the fake fireplace, but the view is amazing. Food is amazing. I've had the best salmon I've ever had here. Great wine list too.

Would fly back to San Diego just for this Restaurant

I was on vacation in San Diego last week from NY and decided to make reservations for Azul. My first impression was how beautiful the view was from our comfortable booth. Then the menu came and after listening to the recommendations of the waitress I chose the Short Ribs with cocoa and my finacee chose the loin of lamb. I consider myself a foodie and have eatin at a lot of nice restaurants but the food at Azul was amazing. The chef uses sea salt to add cruch and favor but nothing tastes salty. Both dishes were moist and tender with the wonderful sauce to accompany them. The short ribs came with a maple mashed potato that was out of this world. Our appetizers were also wonderful. I had the lobster pie and my finacee had the tapas sampler. To finish this heavenly experience we had the strawberry napolian and white chocolate cheesecake. After our meal and a lot of praise the chef came out to thank us and see how we liked everything. My finacee and I agreed that we would plan another trip to San Diego just to have another experience at Azul La Jolla.

The food here is really good and the atmosphere is good too with a view of the ocean. I love their brunch! It is only served on Sunday from 10-2:30, but it is not to be missed! I've had brunch at a few other places here in la jolla and there seem to be more kinds of food but less taste. Everything I tried at Azul was delicious and surprising. Also it wasn't that expensive - a really good value!
