BE WARNED!!!!! Me and my bestfriend are travelling from Australia to the USA for a few months. We arrived in Texas and were picked up by Alamo Cabs. The driver was the rudest man ever met, he was stoned and couldnt be bothered taking us. The car smelled like weed (sickening smell). We were dropped off at Studio 6 the meter read $20.35 but the driver demanded $32 to cover his costs.I argued and told him no but he started abusing both of us and swearing at us, telling us not to come to his f****** country, mind you he was African. Then worst of all happened, he drove off with our luggage!!!!!!! Yes you read righ. He drove of with $5000 worth of electronics, my laptop, cameras, all my memories from this trip have gone, everything I had was taken away by this drugged, abusive, most unprofessional driver...What was worse, when we called the company they called us tarts, and told us to f*** off bc we are liars and that it never happened. I called the police, reported him to the police, the Transportation Regulation Department. A private detective got onto the case. I had gathered all the information on this man, his name Hope Boma, African, car H336 blue van, telefon (214)938 3923. The company all lied that they didnt have any driver by that name or by that car number. Once i went into their office i put them on the spot i got all the details on this guy, he was one of their drivers, he had his own file..so what could that tell you about this company. We warned them about us getting robbed by one of their staff and they wouldnt even talk to us about it or try to help us in any way. THEY ARE ALL LIARS AND DODGY! I would never again ever use this cab company. A professional cab service would NEVER rob you, ripp you off with fare, get sworn at, allow their drivers to drive under influence of drugs, get abused and not being helped in this situation. I have spoken to all dispatch memebers, Abraham, supervisor Hailey, manager Tesfay and still not even get a response from neither of them. PLEASE FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY DO NOT USE THIS CAB COMPANY! If they can get away this robbery, imagine how many more they have gotten away with?????

I see that this was in 2007 and I have only worked for the company since Dec. 2007 but as I am truly sorry of your bad experence with this man but plz know that he is only one person and in every company there is alway a bad apple. Allamo does try to maintain a high standard for there drivers. I also encourage that if this was to every happen again with any company that you take note of thier name and cab number and Please report them to whatever city you are in as this is the only way we can get bad cabies off the street.Please don" hold the whole company responisble for one mans actions, we have alot of hard workin men and women that are honest, clean cabs and friendly. - judith
