Best Doggie Day Care in L.A.

    Posted by CLitt on 12/03/2008

I can't recommend Doggie Central highly enough. I have been taking my dogs there since 1997 and wouldn't take them anywhere else. Faith and her incredible staff are loving and kind. The facility is clean and neat and is a very safe environment to leave my energetic, 15 month old chocolate lab, Bruce. Even my Lab, Cutter, loved going there, although he was not a "dogs dog". The staff always made sure he was comfortable and happy and away from the other dogs. Bruce loves other dogs and can't wait to get inside to play. At the end of the day, he is tired and happy and a pleasure to have at home after a busy work day. Don't be put off by someone elses bad experiences. Experience "Doggie Central" for yourself. I think you will find everyone there to be welcoming and friendly, not just to your dog, but to you, too. How important is it for you to be remembered? How about your pet? The Doggie Central staff not only know your pets name, but yours' too. They offer valet drop off, are centrally located, and are open from 6:30am to 9:00pm. It's a cage free environment, lovingly run, where your pet can have a great time. You owe it to your dog to give them a try.

The right place, with the right people

    Posted by MrBTada on 10/22/2008

For many years I have tried different doggie day cares for "Bocephus", he is the love of my life and because of my work we only have our evenings together. From my experience I belive most doggie day cares look at "Bocephus" as nothing more than another client. I was about to give up on doggie day cares when a friend of mine said to check out "Doggie Central". At first I thought this will just be another waste of money to find a unhappy dog at the end of the day. Well I was wrong I found the staff of "Doggie Central" to be wonderful they treat "Bocephus" as one of there own. They leave me feeling reassured that he will be in good hands, and well cared for. I personally have and will continue to recomend "Doggie Central" to all of my friends, and all dog lovers out there who want the best care for there dogs. I would like to say thank you Faith, and all the staff at "Doogie Central" for all your hard work.

Convenient hours but untrains your well-trained dog

    Posted by joeyolesky on 03/23/2008

My take on responsible dog ownership is discipline first, then affection. For a very long time I've been trying to teach my puppy to not bark, not whine, and not jump on people. I believe that a well trained, well educated dog is one that is most well fitted into the human world, hence the more education and obedience, the more love and freedom the dog will receive in the long run. So I've been trying to train my dog to be nice and calm until I took my puppy to Doggie Central. The people who work there are very bad trainers. They basically will play with and pet any dog that jump on them, or that whine. They will baby and hold and pet any dog that demand for attention. I mean, this place will spoil your dog so much that your dog will behave very badly. They also don't use crates and just let the dogs play really wildly. For these reasons, my puppy now just lunge at other dogs and ignore me completely, and it took me a whole month to retrain him to be polite again. Gosh, I was so ticked off, I'd never go to this place again. Also, everytime I go to this kennel my puppy smells like urine. I bet he was mounted by other dogs and they don't do a thing about it. Shortly I took him to this kennel, he also started mounting other dogs as well. In addition my puppy started to lift his legs up to urine shortly I brought him over. This place is horrible because they don't monitor... they just clean up urine/poop, and untrain your well-trained dogs. Lastly, they don't believe in crating dogs-- old school. Crate training is the new way of training, and crated dogs are the most well behaved, well loving dogs. Uncrated dogs are usually those that behave badly, are dominant, and hard to live with.
