Best Friends is Best in our book!

Posted by Denise W on 10/29/2009

Best friends of Willow Grove is a wonderful facility where your dog or cat will receive loving attention in very nice surroundings. You can tell the staff truly loves the pets in their care. My pekingese Lilly and I have been made to feel like part of the family and she is always so excited to attend day camp. And when boarding overnight, I know she feels comfortable and at home. A great place!

    Small and Cold!

Obviously that first review was by the owner. We stopped by today to check out the facility before bringing our dogs. The outdoor area for the dogs to poop is literally a 6x4 foot run with a large trash can in it, just big enough for one dog to circle. The inside play areas are little rooms that can fit maybe 5 dogs. Your dog has two cage varieties, SHELTER style or a small painted room the size of your bathroom. They charge ridiculous fees for what they call "luxury boarding" which is actually throwing your dog in a run and stopping by for 10 minutes twice a day to let them out. If you want anything else you have to pay! That's right, if you'd like some loving, that will cost you! A 10 minute lousy playtime for $8 and playgroup for only 45 minutes for $12. Last I checked if you pay for your dog to have socialization and leave them there for 5 hours, a 45 minute circle session just wont do the trick. You could pay for a walk if you'd like, that will be $10 to walk him around the cement driveway out front, I'm sure petting is extra as well. Take a few minutes, go on their website and take a look at their play sessions. The employees sit on their bums and text message while the dogs stare at them waiting for some interaction. This is NOT a place I'd recommend.

A large variety of options for any dog or cat. Offering boarding, luxury boarding, grooming, doggy day camp, training, and even have an indoor dog park club. The facility is large, very clean and safe. The staff is really caring and knowledgable.
