Shockingly Great Sushi
Posted by fuzzy67 on 08/27/2009
This place looks like your grandmother's living room. (with an Asian twist) Family friendly, with great sushi & VERY reasonable prices. Worth the 20 min. drive from downtown to get quality this good.

Spicy Crab Salad!!
Posted by tkdbaby on 03/24/2009
This place has the best spicy crab salad anywhere! They have an awesome lunch box special that has so much food you are stuffed or have left overs. It is only $9.00 and you can get 2 entrees, salad, soup, 1/2 orange, rice, and even a little coffee candy thing.
Compare that to an Applebees type place and you would pay over $12 easy.

Amazing!
Posted by CSMobileUser on 03/22/2009
My husband and I have travelled the world over, eating sushi everywhere, from Paris to Bangkok. We LOVE the sushi at Siki! It's consistently fresh. I agree that the spicy crab salad is delicious, and being Thai, I'm not usually a fan of artificial crab. Try the daikon maki. With the daikon wrap and absolutely no rice, it's a fabulous, low carb roll that's light and cool. We've never made to the steakhouse side, because the sushi is so good!

Best sushi in the KC area. Great service. Fresh as the new day!!!
Posted by 195256 on 04/25/2008
My wife and I have eaten sushi in many places from New York to California to Hawaii and this place is 2nd to none. Absolutely fresh and sweet tasting raw fish as well as the other sushi rolls they serve. The presentation is very appealing and their kind and courteous service is indicative of Asian traditional hospitality. The atmosphere is plain, clean and simple so you don't feel like you are paying for the view. The prices are very reasonable and the portions are plenty. If you are bringing your kids or friends who just won't try sushi they serve wonderful cooked at the table Japanese food and the chicken fried rice is unbelievable! I normally don't do these review things but I felt this establishment deserved a lot of applause. You won't be disappointed!!!

Great food but go hungry you leave so full
Posted by wines2night on 03/27/2008
Portion sizes are huge, enough to share. Salad dressing is the best. They also have great sushi but you have to try the spicy crab salad. Don't forget to get your loyality card and look for coupons on the back of Lee's Summit HyVee restaurants!!!

Siki Sushi Sets up Shop on Hwy. 291
Posted by Christine A. on 03/07/2007
Siki Sushi and Steakhouse recently opened a sushi bar at Hwy. 291 and Tudor Road.I can barely stay away! The decor is decidedly Japanese, the staff has always treated me well and the quality of the food - true to Siki fashion - is exceptional. Their fish is some of the freshest I've ever eaten in this area of the Midwest. If you're lucky enough to be there when they offer Toro (fatty tuna), go for it!Prices are low to moderate for what you receive. I tend not to order a LOT of food so maybe that's only true in my experience. I know when my boyfriend joins me we run up at least a $40 bill but that includes add ons like appetizers, salads, etc. There are "happy hour" sushi and drink specials which run daily, I believe. Those should help bring your tab down quite a bit if you're on a budget but still have a hankerin' for what they offer.

Wasabi!

Love it, love it, love it. I travel a bit with work and try to eat at different sushi places around the country. I have found a few close but none surpassing the Siki restauraunt in quality of sushi and value. It is a clean modest place in Lee's Summit. Thomas the owner and sushi chef is always friendly and usually busy. I would eat there daily if I could. The place has a good following of regular customers. The Japaneese steakhouse is good for groups but my passion is the sushi which I always order even if I'm with a group in the steakhouse side. It is easy to ring up a large bill eating sushi anywere. To keep costs lower, try the lunch specials of sushi (7 mixed pc with cucumber roll ~$9), sashimi (no rice - 13 mixed pc ~$14), or maki combo (california, tuna and cucumber rolls ~$9.50). All come with soup (onion or miso). The also offer dinner combinations which are a little more expensive. You can order just about everything a-la-carte also.

Summit Atami-Sans!
Posted by fusionmaster65 on 11/21/2005
"Lee's Summit's Best Kept Secret?" I agree. In the former SAMBOS and a BBQ(?) building next to Bob Smith Ford, SIKI is a great addition to Lee's Summit's continual growth and culture. I joked 15 years ago,"Will Lee's Summit ever have a JAPANESE Restaurant?". With LS's redneck meat and potatoes complacency, I speculated Siki would be spurned or go out of business fast. Not at all. It's a nicely decorated space divided in two sections: One for teppanyaki grill tables with expert, acrobatically- inclined chefs; the other, mainly a sushi lover's bar and dinner tables. The service is great. I had 2 polite waitresses and 5 busser/water boys on one visit! Great dumplings and greaseless spring rolls. Best tempura combos I've ever had! Very fresh, creative sushi and sashimi (ask for something extra special!). soothing Saki. Beautiful hostess... like in the movies! Reasonably Priced. $$ ~ $$$
