    Good

Good Selection of Books and Music

I usually prefer independent booksellers, but since this Borders is located a few blocks south of my office, I will often stop here during lunch or after having dinner at a nearby restaurant following a long day of work. While the store is not always well kept and the service is mediocre at best, I generally can find whatever selection I am looking for without a problem.

A fun store in downtown Glendale

    Posted by jlieske on 01/14/2007

As with all Borders, this store has a good selection of books and media. And located right in downtown Glendale, it is part of a neighborhood with restaurants, cafes, shops, and a mall within walking distance. They validate parking in the nearby garages. The only disadvantage of this Borders is that the cafe area is often full of people hogging the tables, making it hard to find a seat.

    Not as good as Barnes

    Posted by jerry_watkins on 10/21/2002

I prefer Barnes and Noble over Borders but Borders is still decent enough to frequent from time to time. Its got all the standards a bookstore needs. Books, Books, and more Books! Its 2 stories and conveniently located right across the street from the Glendale Galleria. Want to sit down and have an expresso? Coffee shop is right on in there! The staff is pretty knowledgable! I asked this one customer help desk employee about a book he didnt know what I was talking about. (Mainly because I didnt have the correct name of the Author) I asked another employee later on and told him the authors name even though I didnt even know it lol. And he found the book I needed by just mentioning one word from the Title! But all in all...Borders is just a "Borderline" bookstore!

    Exceptional

    Borders Books

Yes, this is one of those cookie cutter book stores that are popping up in every suburban neighborhood across the country. There is a reason why there are so many, they are a great bookstore. They have all the latest releases, and when a particularly big release comes they have more than enough copies to handle the demand. Their stores are bright and well organized. Their staff is friendly, and their selection is quite large. They have a great kids area where they have scheduled readings of kids favorite books. This particular location also sells music and movies and has a coffee shop.
