        The Historic Iron Horse Inn is a high quality Bed & Breakfast with very affordable rates located in the charming Historic District of Downtown Hermann & in Missouri's Wine Country. This Queen Anne Victorian home was built in 1898 and was lovingly restored at the turn of this century. Enjoy a quiet stay with all the comforts of home while exploring our little Germany by the Missouri River. Breakfast is Continental style consisting of coffee or tea, items from your personal in-room refrigerator such as whole fruit, cereal, milk, yogurt & fruit juices, plus baked goods delivered to your room door in a basket. No need to go to a common area, everthing you need is in your room, unless you are wanting to enjoy the parlor, the covered veranda or the small deck. Each of the 4 rooms has its own private bath, one with a two-person jetted tub, and two with electric heat fireplaces.         This Queen Anne style Victorian still has the charm of the 1800's yet has been recently rennovated with modern day comforts, including central air conditioning. The rooms are clean and nicely furnished, with no detail overlooked. All guest rooms have their own private baths, and there's a lovely parlor on the first floor for guests to share. The register comments showed couples returning for second and third time visits. The riverfront and many shops and restaurants are easy to walk to, as well as Hermannhof Winery, the Tin Mill Brewing Company and Stone Hill Winery. The breakfast basket goodies are plentiful enough to get you started on a day of wine-tasting and exploration. This beautiful inn is privately set along a quiet tree-lined street and has a large veranda for kicking back with a glass of wine.
