    A Hidden Gem

    Posted by Lizzard on 10/07/2009

I love pretty much all of the food I have ever ordered from Princess Garden. My husband and I go when ever we are in the area, even if we just order something to go. It does taste so much better when I get to sit and eat but I don't always have the time. It is a lovely small place with plenty of tea and wonderful food. I do wish they were in a little bit nicer area. I don't always feel comfortable walking around the area with the not so nice strip club at the end of this strip mall.

    Wonderful Chinese food

    Posted by cajijumi on 08/12/2008

While the area is not great, the food is delicious. The service is great! We have enjoyed this restaurant for many years and it remains an all time favorite. The food and service is always excellent. Try it - you will like it.

    Excellent Food!

    Posted by priscillagwen on 03/24/2008

My family started going to Princess Garden when I was seven (I am 37) now. The food has always been wonderful. A family favorite is the princess garden shrimp - very tangy! Also the mongollian beef and chicken and peapods are great for both kids and adults. My kids love to go and have "tea" they feel very grown up. The area has gone down hill over the years... the Lamplighter is in the same strip mall, and next door is a coin laundry. Well worth the effort though, if you want the "real" thing!

    The Best Un-Noticed Peking Cuisine

    Posted by jpeng on 06/01/2005

If you enjoy the Peking cuisine, this is the restaurant to visit. The best dishes are Kung Pao Chicken and Peking Duck. Ordering the duck a day ahead ensures the best quality. The prices are very reasonable and the service is good. The location is not ideal. This restaurant is family operated and the owner is also the chef. While cooks in most Chinese restaurants in Twin Cities are Southeastern Asian refugees, the chef came from famous Princess Garden Restaurant in Hong Kong. The authenticity of the foods served here can be assured. The meat dishes here are always tender, juicy and delicious. This restaurant has been operated in the city since the late 70's. I have been visiting this place for over 25 years and never had a disappointing meal.
