    What service?

    I received a new heating and cooling system about 4 years ago. They talked me into getting the electric filters b/c it would cut down on my dust and help my allergies. Now, I'm stuck having to purchase the electric filters through them and to get a reduced price, I have to become member of a club. This club is suppose to give me priority and I think a cleanings twice a year. Every time I call to get the filters, they are busy and say they will call back, only they do not call back. When I have called to get the unites cleaned I get the same story, they will have to call me back. In the four years I have had my units I think they have only been out ONCE to clean them and that was the year after they were installed. Even when I tried to call them back to remind them, I got the same story of "we will have to call you back" only to receive zero calls back. I am very dissatisfied with the lack of service that was to come with the warranty/membership.

    In stating the above, its the way I felt after being visited by a service man that came out to check my air conditioner. I was in despair and felt dejected after the repairman could not emphasize more, how old my air conditioning unit and furnace were. I think I heard "29" years old so many times, and everytime with a snicker, that it made me feel like I had done something terrible. Of course, no repairs were possible, and my only choice was to set up an appointment with their specialists to buy new units. Needless to say, after paying 90$ to get a lecture, I went back to the yellow pages to find a shop with a little more compassion to my problem.
