        15 Years ago we bought a then 80 year old neglected house in a historic district, which we’ve been slowly renovating ever since. Metropolitan P&C has been with us the whole way, which so far has involved every surface in the house: asbestos floor tiles removed to restore red oak floors, flocked wall paper & permanent mirrors removed from walls (no the house was not a bordello – but decorated in what can only be described as Bensonhurst Baroque) and walls repapered or painted, 3 bathrooms & a speakeasy basement gut renovated, outside brickwork repointed, rotten wood fascia and decorative elements repaired or replaced, chimneys relined, attic insulated, a termite damaged glass solarium rebuilt, etc.



        The point being that their work is so good that we’ve continued to rehire them for each new undertaking and they are so conscientious in their cleanliness and isolating the work area from the rest of the house, that we’ve been able to live thru the renovations – though we did take a vacation during the asbestos removal.



        We have recommended them to many friends who have been equally enthusiastic about their work.

        Overall

        Ken and crew did a full gut renovation of our large one bedroom upper east side co-op apartment which came out stunning! Kitchen, bath, painting, moldings all seamlessly done and with a beautiful result. The team has expert craftsmanship right down to every angle of the custom crown moldings. I felt like we were in great hands with Ken and his team and the project was finished on time and on budget.

        Overall

        Working with these folks on a major renovation was an absolute pleasure. The work was performed to great satisfaction, and even when some obstacles arose, they communicated with us, and made sure we were fully satisfied. They are my go to for any kind of renovation work in the future!

You were chosen because your quote was reasonable and you seemed to be well organized and staffed. I have not been disappointed. I was present for much of the work, but also away during several critical phases of the project. I found your employees to be competent, experienced and friendly. They were a pleasure to work with. They arrived on time, did the work they promised, and cleaned up after themselves before leaving. During the periods I was out of town, the work continued on schedule. If any problems or questions arose, I was promptly phoned and given all the details. As is inevitable for any project of this scope, we did have to make some changes and also ran into unexpected problems in a couple of areas. You negotiated the cost of the
