- TANGHETTI EMIL A MD Welcome to Our Center for Dermatology and Laser Surgery We welcome the opportunity to discuss some of the services we provide. We have been in continuous practice in the Sacramento area since 1980. We were one of the first centers to introduce lasers into an office-based practice in 1994. Our facility currently has twenty lasers which are used to treat spider veins, wrinkles, unwanted hair, tattoos, sun damage, and other dermatologic problems. Our Center specializes in the treatment of acne, rosacea, psoriasis, vitiligo, eczema and skin cancers. We have done many clinical research studies on these diseases as well. Center for Dermatology and Laser Surgery is a training site for some of the cosmetic procedures such as Botox and Juvederm. We treat both Medical Dermatological conditions and also have expertise in Cosmetic Dermatology to help maintain the most beautiful skin for you. We are committed to helping young people with unwanted tattoos. For sixteen years we have treated eight to ten young people per week from the California Youth Authority who desire to remove their tattoos and we look forward to continuing this program. We also have participated in tattoo removal programs for the young people of Yolo County.

- Dr. Emil A. Tanghetti was born and raised in Sacramento. He attended U.C Davis where he excelled in his studies and received early admission to UCLA School of Medicine after only three years of undergraduate studies. Upon completing his medical studies and a 1-year pathology fellowship. Dr. Tanghetti graduated first in his class and received the Dean Warren medal for academic excellence. After finishing residencies in internal medicine at Stanford University and dermatology at Harvard School of Medicine, he completed a photo-medicine fellowship at the Wellman labs at the Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Tanghetti is a board certified dermatologist and a fellow in the AAD and the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery. He is currently listed in the "Best Doctors in America" Pacific Region and recognized as "Top Doc" by his peers in Sacramento Magazine.
