    Customer put on terminal hold

    I went in for an insurance quote and while I was there, one of the owners received a call from a customer he obviously knew. He put the customer on hold and I said, "Go ahead. Take the call." I wasn't in a hurry. He said, "That's O.K. He'll wait." I couldn't believe how rude this was and basically got the quote and left. I thought, if he treats his regular customers like this, how is he going to treat me once I become a customer? I got a better quote somewhere else with the exact same coverage...and I'm glad.

    Insulting and sarcastic

    The reason I write this is that I had an extremely insulting conversation with a woman who works at Mazzola Insurance Company. I was referred to them to inquire about the "high risk pool" insurance to see if they'd underwrite our policy for a bus conversion. I'd spent nearly 2 hours on the phone already and kept hitting brick wall after brick wall. When I started the conversation, I stated that I was having a very difficult time getting the commercial vehicle insured for private use... I tried to explain my plight and was immediately met by an older woman with a very sarcastic tone, asking me what the vehicle was used for... I stated "for personal use"-- to which came another drippingly sarcastically toned "nobody uses commercial vehicles for personal use, what is it going to be used for?" Well, I called her on the tone of her questioning, and said I didn't appreciate it-- and she stated, (and I quote) "Well you're obviously hiding something, what is it going to be used for?" I was so shocked, I couldn't believe it! I asked to speak to her boss, she sniped, (yes, another direct quote) "I *am* the boss, honey. What are you trying to hide?" After already coming up on so many closed doors regarding the issue and then this, I just hung up on her. A few minutes later I called back and asked to speak with the general manager. Of course my temper was elevated, and I gave her a very-full earful. I have never been so insulted by a sales person or the like... I just thought I'd pass this on to the members of this group-- just to give you a heads up regarding this Mazzola Company's employees and how they treat customers.
