    MY HUSBAND AND I WENT SUNDAY 11/4/07 TO EAT, WE WALKED IN THE DOOR TO THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE REST. THE SANITATION GRADE WAS JUST INSIDE THE DOOR ABOUT 8 FOOT UP ON THE WALL. IF MY HUSBAND HAD NOT LOOKED UP WE WOULD NOT HAVE SEEN THIS. THEY HAVE A (B)85.5 SANITATION GRADE. FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO DO NOT KNOW HOW THE GRADES WORK, THIS IS BAD. SOMETHING IS REALLY GOING ON TO GET THAT KIND OF GRADE.

    Now i have been writing reviews on my recent trip to Asheboro, North Carolina and this was a place that we ate at on our visit. This was the only steakhouse in the entire town that would could find and we weren't too sure about it. I've never heard of this restaurant before but apparently they are a chain. And i must say, its not a restaurant that i wish to go to ever again. When we first got out of the car in their parking lot, it smelled so good i thought it would be a great place to eat. We walked in and the staff was extremely friendly which i loved. They even had this cute train that runs on a track around the ceiling of the restaurant that my son loved. Things seemed great. Now on to the food. We ordered our drinks but my husband was unhappy because even though they had beer on the menu, they don't sell it. The entire county is dry so that means no alcohol anywhere. We ordered cheese fries as an appetizer, which is our favorite thing to order. When it arrived i thought i was going to die. The fries were those big steak fries which i love, but it was so loaded with bacon and chives that i couldn't even eat it. I hate bacon and chives so it was gross. we only wanted cheese fries not cheese fries with a pound of bacon and chives on top. gross. Then the meals came. For my son we ordered chicken strips and fries. The chicken was fine but the french fries were covered in cinnamon. Strange. My husband ordered a steak which he said was ok, but he also got baked beans with it as one of his sides and they covered them in cheese. I've never heard of this. I ordered a marinated salmon that arrived so bland and tasteless that i couldn't even eat it. They also poured cinnamon all over my baked potato so i couldn't eat that either. Sigh. The ended up not charging us for my meal which was very nice. but i was still hungry so i ordered a dessert thinking that would at least tide me over until the morning. So i ordered a brownie sundae. But the brownie ended up being a nasty cake brownie which i hate. lol.This place is not great at all. Well, unless you like your food covered in bacon, cheese, and cinnamon. lol. i'll give it an ok because the staff really was great and they did take my meal off the bill. But i can't give it anything more than that because the food was just awful.
