Villager Nursery brings you many of the most cold-hardy and abuse tolerant plants on Earth. We contract grow many of the best plants and offer selections that are available almost nowhere else. We collect seeds and cuttings from many remote mountain locations. If a plant will thrive in Truckee's harsh climate, it will flourish anywhere else in the high Sierras.
We offer Home-Visit and Site Consultations as well as Landscaping and Planting Services. Wander our Botanical Nursery and Demonstration Gardens. Watch us grow.
The Villager offers Expert Gardening Talks, Horticultural Demonstrations, Wildflower Hikes, Historical Walks, Volunteer Opportunities and Passionate Mountain Gardening Conversation.
We are easy to find: Look for the landscaped off-ramp, the two apple trees and the building with a big "nursery" sign on it. Come by and enjoy the local expertise.
