Was better before
Posted by Steve0810 on 08/22/2009
I've frequented this establishment from it's inception, The garlic chicken and their other chicken items tasted funny the last 2 times I was there. The quality has fallen off lately. The crab legs are really overcooked(I think on purpose) I will try 1 more time before writing this place off. The bus people could be more courteous. (A lot of banging)

My Favorite Restaurant. Period.
Posted by MedevaM on 06/12/2008
My family and I visit New China almost every Saturday. We prefer to do lunch right after 11 a.m. It's not yet busy, but the food is hot and plentiful.
The selection is so varied that I've hosted parties here (graduation celebrations, birthdays, etc.)--there's American food for the kids (chicken nuggets, pizza, corn) and great Chinese foods for the adults.
The price includes desserts and beverages. Great parking, with entrances/exits off both Highway 100 and National Avenue.

New China

New China Buffet is a decent place to eat. They recently increased their price of the buffet. It is now $9.00 for adults. They also sell smoothies seperately for around four dollars. The crab legs do not flow freely here. You sort of need to hang out at the bar to get them. The staff is friendly, if you can find someone that speaks English. Not an easy task here. They have a good assortment of foods. Veg dishes, meat dishes, deserts, rice, soups, drinks, icecream, coffee, tea, milk, fruits.

Good place to family dine on a dime
Posted by Kathy B. on 03/31/2006
I have been to many chinese restaurants and this one outweighs the rest. Prices are reasonable, their food is high quality. From chicken to pork. Rice and noodles. We make a family outing every saturday in the afternoon for lunch, our favorite is the pot stickers. In the evenings it tends to get a bit crowded as they have fresh seafood for supper time. Both times are from five to ten dollars a plate. If you walk up to the buffet bar and an item is out, within appr. a five minute wait its full, fresh and hot. When you visit you walk into a buffet to the left that is salad bar. Two rows of regular food items, even french fries to pizza for younger kids, and a desert bar with cakes, cookies and an ice cream machine. For beverages there is soda, milk, tea, punch, and coffee. Before you leave dont forget to grab yourself some fortune cookies in a box by the exit door.

Large Selection of Quality Food.

I think the title does this place justice.New China Buffet has a very large buffet and can accomodate even the fussiest eaters. One buffet bar is all cold folds, including shrimp...any time of the day. Fruits, veggies, and chilled desserts are on this bar.Another bar, has dessert cakes, hot pizza, and some other American style foods. Two more hot bars have a large variety of good dishes. In the evening you can find salmon, crab legs, and shrimp. There are two soda dispensers, fresh hot coffee, juice, milk, cappuccino's, and fruit drinks. Oh.. and who can forget the ice cream machine.Certainly enough food for the pickiest of eaters.

Good Food
Posted by Glenn R. on 06/29/2005
Good food. Always HOT. Always full bins on the buffet.Lots of desserts to choose from. The advertise crab legs, but it is seldom that you can get them. When you do, they are water logged and nasty. And they only put them out about every half hour. So do not go there expecting to dine on them, as you most likely will not.Bathrooms need help!!!Good parking behind the building. Easy in and out also.

Bigger is not Better
Posted by th5tguy on 12/21/2004
This place has a huge buffet. Shumai is good, nothing else is. The cashier barely looked up from their web browsing to take the money. The buspeople with their carts slam dishes constantly, ruining any peace. All the food was rather taseless.
