GOOD OLD-FASHIONED VALUES
It is so nice to go into a place of business these days and get good old-fashioned dependable service for an honest dollar. Dr. Choyce, at All Pets Animal Hospital, provides established clients with old-fashioned 24-hour "doctor-on-call" availability and provides a blast back into the past for values as well. I just HAVE to mention my experience! I needed a medication for my little dog's allergies. Dr. Choyce carried that medicine and could have sold it to me as a RX. Instead, he referred me to a local drugstore for an over-the-counter medicine that would save me money. He lost the sale of that RX. However, he made a different sale that day. He sold my heart on his integrity. I'll be back.

For Monkey
Posted by monkey0112 on 02/26/2008
Our feline baby, Monkey, was diagnosed with diabetes in June 2004 when he was just 9 years old. We knew he'd get the best possible care with Dr. Choyce at All Pets Animal Hospital and he did.
For 2 1/2 years, the Dr.'s and staff of All Pets taught us how to take care of Monkey's needs and they treated him like one of their own. Unfortunately, the disease took its toll on our baby and we had to say, "goodbye for now" on 9/2/06, but even then Dr. Choyce and his staff helped us to make the right although excrutiatingly painful decision to help Monkey rest with all of the thoughfulness and dignity they had to offer. My heart is still broken, but I know some day, when another special pet comes into our life, I wouldn't trust that pet's care to anyone else.
Thanks again for taking such good care of my baby.
Sincerely from the bottom of my heart,
Jodi

MANY GOLDEN THUMBS UP!
Posted by Content1 on 10/17/2007
After 9 or more years experience dealing with Dr. Choyce and the staff at All Pets, I give them all a golden thumbs up PLUS! My most recent experience is with my little dog that lived to be 14. His ailments included kidney failure, heart disease, slip disc disease, and on and off liver troube to name only a few. Dr. Choyce was a miracle-worker. He not only extended, but improved my dog's life. My dog had TERMINAL blood-kidney values by text book standards. But, Dr. Choyce,s attention to detail, love and dedication kept my pet alive. He has also met me in the middle of the night on at least 2 occassions and taken numerous emergency late night and\or weekend calls from me. It's not often you can find dedication of this sort today. Thank you All Pets, Dr. Choyce and staff! Oh, and I totally recommend the wellness exams and senior wellness exams. Consider a dog's life, for example. One year equals 7 of our years. Taking a blood test once a year to get early diagnosis and preventative care start is SO WORTH IT. This was critical in helping prolong my pet's life. The staff TRULY loves pets. I've been there on a daily basis for almost 2 to 3 years for sub-Q fluids for my dog's kidney failure. I've been at All Pets in the morning, afternoon, and evening. I've been there M-F and on weekends. Dr. Choyce LIVES in that clinic. It is rare that he is not there unless, from my experieince, there is a great family need, usually an emergency. I've seen many clinic emergencies, day to day care and boarding. I've met clients that have driven in from out of state. I was there when he removed a teddy bear from the stomach of a pet snake!!! The clinic IS CLEAN. They TRULY worry about ALL the pets. The boarded pets are kept well. I've seen 50 plus pets there on holidays. They ARE walked 3 times a day and LOVED! Each animal is treated very well. A pet without shots is not allowed in the clinic for the protection of other pets. Contagious, diseased animals are kept away from other pets in their own individual room. I could go on. My point is...what more do you want?! This hospital clean clinic has earned many accredidations. And, they are well deserved. Again, many golden thumbs up!!
Business Response
Thanks for these kind words! Thanks for the privilege to care for Blaze who we will never forget. - Patrick D. Choyce, D.V.M.

BEST DOG LOVERS IN THE FOUR LEGGED FIELD
Posted by camsmom81 on 07/16/2007
I have been a client of this hospital for 8 years and they have been incredible to not only myself, but all of the pets I have been through also. They are always available when needed. If there is no available appt, they work me in. If it is after hours, they meet me at the clinic, if I have a question, I know I can call the Dr at 2-3 in the morning and get an answer. The clinic is always neat and clean. The staff are exceptionally friendly and well trained. I highly recommend this hospital. For anyone that values their pet as their own family member, this is definatley the place to go.

Dog Gone Bad !!!!
Posted by krywolf on 03/25/2007
These people tried to charge me $450 for my pets vaccinations without even seeing him. They wanted to do nail trimming, teeth brushing, etc. They gave me an estimate before the Dr. even saw my dog. They were mad because all I wanted was his shots, and thats it! I made another appointment for something minor. They said their office hours were until 7:00 p.m. They said the visit was now $90 dollars because between 6-7 was considered an emergency visit. I told they to nevermind, it could wait until tomorrow, or Monday. I never rescheduled the appointment because I had to move to Louisiana. I found out that they billed me for the office visit anyway that was never scheduled!!! This place was dirty, smelled, unprofessional, and overall a very unpleasant atmosphere. They put the $$$ over the care and love of our pets! I'll never go back, and I suggest you don't either!

Good but better available in Katy
Posted by Sarah R. on 03/07/2007
When my husband and I first moved to Katy we needed to find a vet for our cat that wasn't so far away as they don't like being in the car. We decided on All Pets because we saw them from the road and they are close to were we live. Dr. Choyce was very good with our cats. At first we just needed vaccinations as they were due but they pseudo-pressured us to perform all sorts of senior wellness exams on our cats, both of whom were healthy and doing fine. I understand that such exams are a good way to see how your pet is *really* doing, but the exams would have cost $250 EACH (and we have 2 cats) so we decided against it. We didn't have much money to spare as we'd just moved. We felt really pressured by Dr. Choyce but we let it go because he treated them gently and we liked the fact that registered patience get 24 Hour on-call emergency service. Having lost a cat during my childhood because the nearest 24 Hour Clinic was over an hour away, I appreciated that. The vaccinations came to $200 believe it or not. It was too high but they needed to be done. I would also note that Dr. Choyce has a habit of being late into the exam room and keeping clients waiting. We sat and watched him fiddling with his computer for 15 minutes while we waited for our appointment once!Dr. Choyce was good to our oldest when she was feeling a bit sick the first time round. He recommended a Hills diet which she had been on while we were in England. We happily switched and she did better for a while but it didn't last long. On another occasion she came down with a cold and Dr. Choyce treated her very well again and she got better with the help of medication. Happy with the service they provided to our cats, I booked a wellness exam for a puppy we'd be picking up in one month's time. She needed, as per the contract of sale, to be checked within 24 hours of pick-up. Id flown to another state to get her so I needed to make sure she did OK on the flight and that she was healthy. Several hours before the appointment Dr. Choyce's staff call me up to cancel, stating that Dr. Choyce has taken the day off to go on a "family outing". Keeping in mind that without the exam Id be in breach of the contract and that Id booked this appointment one month in advance, I was livid that they would have the balls to cancel just hours before the appointment because Dr. Choyce had decided to go on a "family outing". The lack of professionalism was dreadful. In a rush I had to find another vet, and thankfully did. I will never go to All Pets again unless it's an absolute emergency and I cant get in anywhere else. When I found my new vet I suddenly realized how dirty and putrid the All Pets office is. It has the stench of Urine even in the waiting room and the floors look embedded with dirt. On seeing how clean the new vet was, I was very glad that Dr. Choyce had canceled. The new vet is Cinco Ranch Veterinary Hospital, which I will review in a bit.My All Pets Review Bottom Line - Good caring service from the Dr and his staff (yes, they do call to follow up) but incredibly expensive and they try to guilt you into services you don't necessarily need or want. Also the office leaves a lot to be desired! Even when I was happy with the service I would have never boarded my pets there (we drove them to Sugar Land's Pet Smart Hotel).I am no longer a customer and wont go back now that I know there's better just around the corner.

Cuddly Canine & Feline Grooming and Boarding didn't work out so well for us...
Posted by Melissa W. on 06/27/2006
We recently had to go away for the weekend and so we needed to find a place to board our puppy. We don't really know many people in the area who have pets, and so we were left to find a location on our own. Cuddy Canine and Feline is located next door to our veterinarian's office (and is owned by them) and so we thought it was an ideal choice. They are certified by the American Board and Kennel Association (ABKA). The prices were reasonable (we paid $17/night). They also offer grooming services, but we have not tried that, so I can't comment on it.The brochure and the information online sounds very appealing. It states that the dogs are walked three times per day, that their kennels are cleaned twice a day, and that they are fed Hill's Science Diet products, which is what we feed our dog anyway. We thought it sounded great and I worried that she would be treated so well that she might not even want to come home with us. That definitely wasn't the case. When we went to pick up our puppy, she just wasn't herself. She had lost 4 pounds and was very jumpy and anxious. I guess that those things are to be expected when you leave a puppy for the first time. What was more disturbing was that her eyes were very red and had a cloudy-mucousy looking film in them. No one mentioned anything about this to us even though it was blatantly obvious and all they said when we picked her up was that she had been "fun to play with." (I'm sure they say that to everyone)The next day, they did call to check on her and see how she was doing. This is a personal touch that the veterinarian's office offers as well and that I really liked. I mentioned what her eyes looked like when we picked her up and told them that we had been concerned, but that she seemed to be doing better and they just said, "Oh really..." and that was it.I am not saying that this is a bad place to take your dog. It may just be that our puppy doesn't handle being left. We have been very pleased with the veterinarian and so I find it hard to believe that they didn't take good care of her, but the situation with her eyes did make me a little nervous. I am hoping we don't have to board her anywhere again for a long time, but if we do have to, we will try someplace else first.

The Best Veterinarian and veterinary hospital in the area
Posted by C H. on 06/26/2006
Dr. Choyce and his entire staff are incredible. Unfortunately, my cat was very ill when I first came to them and I ended up losing her, but I firmly believe that her quality of life was extended thanks to Dr. Choyce and his wonderful staff. She was treated with the utmost care, love and respect. She never seemed afraid when she went in. Dr. Choyce went above and way beyond what I would expect a veterinarian to do for a client. As a result, this very difficult experience was made much easier for both me and my cat and I know that she got the very best possible care for her condition. I know that I will get another furry baby in the future and when I do, I wouldn't dream of placing her in the care of anyplace other than All Pets Animal Hospital and Dr. Choyce. I give them my highest recommendation.

Impressive service, caring staff!
Posted by Melissa W. on 05/19/2006
We just took our new puppy in for her first visit a couple of weeks ago and we have been so impressed with the staff here! We actually found out about them from an ad they placed in our local newspaper and decided to go with them because they have extended hours. The staff is very friendly. As new pet owners, they took the time to really listen to and answer our questions. They did a thorough exam on our puppy and were so good and gentle with her. They provided us with a bunch of free food samples as well as all kinds of information for new puppy owners dealing with what to expect and training. They also gave us a list of recommended check-ups and vaccinations. The day after our puppy's visit, one of the veterinarians called to check up on her and see how she was doing and also to ask if we had any questions. I was shocked by this! My daughter's pediatrician doesn't even do this! We have since gotten follow up information from them in the mail about caring for new puppies. They definitely go above and beyond!
