Be Pampered while Recovering

After having a total knee replacement and being released from the hospital three days later I was welcomed at Chesterwood Village. From that moment on I was in their caring hands. Everyone, and I mean everyone (well almost)had a cherry greeting and smile every time they met me. A few things they had to do was not "cherry" but "no problem". I really felt pampered. My first shower and hair shampoo was like the most elegant spa treatment. My food tray was always presented in a fashion to highligt the foot -- milk cartons were open, lids were removed to reveal good food smells. The always open snack room had some of the freshest cookies and good coffee and juice. Just say the word and your needs were taken care of. My room was cosy and comfortable and always clean. I think I ended up with six pillows just to make me comfortable. The physical therapy was not the most enjoyable but was so helpful. The therapists were caring and understanding. Their encouragement and kidness and firmness brought great success after the two weeks I was there. It was wonderful to walk around such a nice setting and enjoy the vaired sitting rooms. That surgery was in April, 2009. I'm going to make my reservation for October, 2009 to have the other knee replacement and recovery at Chesterwood. I'm looking foreward to returning. I invite you to Chesterwood to have a look around and once you look I hope you will choose Chesterwood for your rehalbilitation.
