Specializing in physical medicine and rehabilitation, our Medical Director leads a highly qualified team of nurses and therapists to provide a coordinated program of care. HealthSouth's team approach engages rehabilitation experts from many disciplines, including:

Rehabilitation Nursing:

  • Implements each patient's medical care program as directed by his or her physician

Occupational Therapy:

  • Designs and delivers activity-based therapy to promote independence in the areas of self care, home management and community reintegration

Physical Therapy:

  • Evaluates and designs a treatment program to address limitations in physical function, mobility and safety

Respiratory Therapy:

  • Ensures proper respiratory function through services such as oxygen supplements and aerosol treatments

Speech-Language Pathology:

  • Assesses and treats individuals with communication and comprehension disorders, cognitive difficulties and swallowing disorders

Psychology:

  • Provides support services to assist the patient and family in adjusting to the patient's disability

Dietary and Nutritional Counseling:

  • Supervises all meals to ensure patients receive the necessary nutrition
