Wonderland Pier
Posted by Kathy H. on 09/26/2006
Wonderland Pier is so much fun. It's always crowded and a little on the expensive side, but my kids talk about it all year long. They have a covered area full of kiddie rides, the highlight of which is a monorail featuring Thomas the train. They also have rides for older kids out outside. Definitely a fun place, get some kettle corn (yum) while you are there!

Loud, expensive, but don't miss it
Posted by Kathy H. on 02/23/2006
Gillian's Wonderland Pier is a don't miss it adventure for your small child. They have a ton of rides for the preschool set. Clanking cars, clanking boats, clanking cars, clanking trains...get the picture? The tickets are expensive and the place is jammed. Don't bring a stroller if you can help it. My kids always say that the monorail train is the most fun ride!

Lots of fun for all

Wonderland Pier is a very busy amusement park in Ocean City. It's located right on the boardwalk, which is probably why it gets so busy. They have lots of little kiddie rides in the front of the park. There are rides for bigger kids and adults in the back of the park. You need to purchase tickets for the rides. Some rides take 4 tickets, some take more. It does get to be a little expensive but you can buy a pass each year which helps if you go there alot. They also have many snack stands set up throughout the park. It's kind of loud but it's a fun place. When you get done, you can go walk on the boardwalk and visit the gift shops.

nice family amusement park

This amusement park is filled with a wide verity of rides for very young children to adult. Although it does not have any roller coasters, it does have a log flume and other thrill exciting rides. The tickets are on the high price but if you purchase the tickets at Christmas or Easter time, you can purchase them at half off. This park is located at 6th and the boardwalk which is the beginning of the stores/attractions. The park has a parking lot across from it and there is off street parking all around. The park is not too big so it is generally tight to move around, however there are many rides so the lines are not longer than 5-10 min. wait time. Each ride runs about 2 min. long.

Family Fun

I have such fond memories of riding the merry-go-round when I was a small child at Wonderland Pier. It's nice to know that the same place I enjoyed is still there and just as fun as an adult! Wonderland Pier has a nice mix of rides for the little children and the older crowd. Bumper cars, tilt-a-whirl, and the ferris wheel are definite musts for an evening on the pier. The ticket prices are affordable and they usually offer-season discounts on ticket books for local families.

Fun time as always

We have been going to Gillian's Wonderland Pier for many many years. We use to take our kids when they were very little. They always enjoyed riding the kiddie rides. We always had a great time there. The place still seems to be as busy as ever. There are always lots of families there enjoying themselves. A nice place for the kids and adults alike. Summertime fun!

Summer Fun!

No trip to the Jersey shore is complete without a spin around the mamouth ferris wheel at Gillians Wonderland Pier in Ocean City . Wonderland, on 6th street and the Boardwalk, is a wonderful amusement pier that has something for everyone. Enough rides for both small children and big kids, perfect boardwalk "junk" food, and fun games this place should not be missed. Family owned and operated it is a safe family atmosphere, with a polite and knowledgable staff. For even more family fun the Gillian family also has a great water park just a couple of blocks down. They supply plenty of entertainment at reasonable prices.
