    Posted by mrmouse777 on 10/20/2009

Pharmacy would not provide info without wasting my time and gas to take my prescription in for pricing info. NO WAY am iI going to waste my resources to find out I may save a dollar, or no savings at all. Not like I was asking personal info, or security info. Just pricing

Three times within the last 9 mos when my wife had tried to get her prescription REFILLED they were out of the meds. NO call, she found out only when she went to the pharmacy at the designated time and was told they had to order it. The last time, she ordered on Sun, went to pick it up, and was told:"Sorry, we have to order it. It will be here Mon". Mon it wasn't there. Tues it wasn't there and the pharmacist couldn't find the refill order, finding it when my wife insisted she look further. She promised to call back. NOTHING. Wed, my wife called and they couldn't find any record of the prescription. I have had the same thing happen to me three times also... We Quit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

CVS on N. Lake in Pasadena, CA

    Posted by SleepyFalcon on 07/05/2009

Wanted to put 0 stars but the site would not let me. I am a long time customer, ever since the pharmacy became CVS. But in the last couple years, I do mail order because I get 3 months for the price of 2 co-pays and it comes right to my front door. Now I only go to them when I get a new prescription. I dropped off my script 6/30/09 and went to pick it up the next day at 11am. There were only 5 people in line. After 1/2 hour, the grumbling started and our line had moved by only 2 people. When I got to the counter 50 minutes later, they could not find my prescription anywhere. 3 people checked and even their computer said it had been completed. People started coming up saying they were told they would only have to wait 10 minutes but it had been 30 already! The pharmacist was very kind but stressed and tried to help. Eventually she was reprocessing everyone's order, including mine. When I asked what was going on, she said 2 people did not show up for work. But after overhearing the many comments from the staff, including "We can call the manager for you, but I doubt if anyone will come." and "Some of us work our butts off around here.", it became obvious that this was not the first time because the attitude was pervasive. So I am kissing off CVS and will go anywhere else my insurance is accepted.

    I AGREE

To add insult to injury (literally), they could have accused you of stealing or forging the perscription. I guess you must not have been on Medicaid.

    Top Notch, no question.

I love CVS. period. I have never been disappointed, pics on time (if not early!!!), prescription wait was exceptional (just enough time to look around the store), and most of all clean - there is a even a sign on the bathroom door that states if the bathroom does not uphold your standards to let the store manager know. All the bases are covered... Even with a smile and greeting when i arrive, and most importantly when I leave. I know my business/opinions/criticisms matter. Why would you go anywhere else after this experience?! My whole family entrusts their purchases and prescriptions in this company. After all CVS stands for Consumer valued Services ...see what all they stand for --> go ahead ;) you wont be let down --> http://www.cvscaremark.com/our-company/our-culture/vision-mission-values. I agree with you, but for a different reason. I used CVS, here in Las Vegas, NV, for quite a while. It was not a great experience but I didn't like switching around, so I decided to just stay with them. It was when they let me walk out with the WRONG NARCOTIC MEDICATION that made me decide that it was too dangerous to stay with them. This was one of those OOPS, that could have killed me. I am not impressed by any of their stores in this town.

    costly mistakes

    Posted by taffyhit on 12/02/2008

The pharmacy, #6992 on South Alameda, attempted to sell me prescriptions at full price, claiming that I had no insurance after the order had already been filled and my insurance cards submitted. I was shocked and feared that I had actually been dropped from my insurance. I called my insurance, who had me call Pharmacare who owns Caremark. Finally, I had to call CVS-Caremark, take down a number, and have the pharmacy call and talk to them. This was all from using the phone number that is on the back of the CVS Caremark/ExtraCare card that they already had looked at and failed to use. After they finished the call, they did not call me back, I had to call them. Had I accepted their conclusion that I had no insurance, it would've cost me $165. Should I be expected to do their job for them? I contacted Sam's Club, who had already found this same information that CVS failed to a month earlier when I went there. Why didn't they take the time to be sure before telling me that I had no insurance, ... that it had been cancelled? After an hour and a half of phone time, I returned to pay $35 instead of the $200 they were ready to charge me for their mistake. No apology was given. This is unacceptable. Unless you are ready to do the pharmacy's job for them or are willing to risk hundreds of dollars, I recommend you take your prescriptions elsewhere.
