I think this is one of the top hardware stores around. I always find what I want and more!. The employees are always around to offer assistance and they are very knowledgible. This is helpful if you really don't know much about hardware.

I bought a house here in Ahoskie almost 2yrs ago and I was amazed on how friendly and helpful they were, they treat you like family. If they didn't have what i needed they got it for me by the next day. I love the Ace store in Ahoskie, you have a customer for life... THANKS to Dennis and all the ace staff in Ahoskie...

One of the main reasons I shop at Ace and not one of the large warehouse type of stores is simply one thing...service. Ace in Harleysville provides great service and it is easy to find someone to help you, if that is just locating an item or with installation/repair advice. They also run periodic sales which are great (e.g. 20% off everything in your shopping cart), and you can typically find whatever you need.
Great store, great service, great location. I think that sums it up.

This is the worst store I have ever seen for Ace Hardware. The staff is the most unfriendly I have ever seen. They are not helpful or responsive at all, it is as if you are bothering them and their life. They have to be all Family members because they all have the poor attitude. I do not know how hey get any business, except they are the only game in town. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY!

Poor Customer Service

Employees of the store were arguing about another transaction while helping us with our transaction. Rather uncomfortable as a customer. They also ran my credit card three times, and told me it declined all three times, so I used a different card. As it turns out, the card did work each and every time so I was charged a total of four times. When I called to ask them to fix the error, they refused to help me and ended up yelling at me. Talk about horrible customer service! I am still trying to get my money back and hope that they can improve their technical skills and their customer service; if not, it will be short work for the newer Menards in the area to put them out of business. I might also add that their prices are outragous.

great place to shop

I live in Westminster. The home depot, Lowe's and Ace hardwear are all with in 5 minutes of my home.
I have been going to the Ace Hardwear store on Wadsworth and have been really happy with the price of the Items and the helpful friendly service. I recently purchased an Ionic Pro room air purifier. Walmart had the exact model. Ace hardware had the best price! The only time I go to Home Depot is to get lumber products

Merrill Pro-Hardware (old Ace)

I LOVE shopping at the old Ace Hardware store in downtown Merrill, now renamed the "Merrill Pro-Hardware". I normally dread going into any hardware, but the people who own it are so helpful and make it so easy to get what I'm looking for. They provide real "old-fashioned customer service"....something very rare these days. These people are very customer friendly. I'd rather spend a few cents more buying items from the small businessman than to go to a large hardware and spend 1/2 hour or more trying to find something on my own.
