GENERAL INFORMATION:

Reproductive Health Services is a division of Planned Parenthood of the St. Louis Region that offers options counseling, and medical and surgical abortion care. Committed to a woman's right to choose safe, legal abortion at a reasonable cost and in a supportive and confidential setting, RHS is staffed by Board Certified Specialists in Obstetrics and Gynecology, licensed counselors and educators who provide the highest quality of support from the first moment a woman calls and throughout the entire day of her procedure.

Since 1932, Planned Parenthood of St. Louis Region has been the leader in providing comprehensive family planning, reproductive and sexual health care services to anyone who needs them. Our health centers throughout Missouri provide annual gynecological exams, birth control services, emergency contraception, sexually transmitted infection testing and treatment, HIV testing and counseling, and cancer screenings in a confidential and affordable setting.

PRODUCTS & SERVICES:

Medical Abortion
Mifepristone, also know as the abortion pill or RU-486, is a medical abortion option that is available up to 56 days from an individual's last menstrual period. An early and safe option for women, mifepristone is a medicine that ends early pregnancy.
Surgical Abortion
Available up to 22 weeks from an individual's last menstrual period. After 24 weeks of pregnancy, surgical abortions are only performed for serious health reasons.
Fetal and Maternal Indication Program
A special counseling program for patients who need services after prenatal diagnostic testing reveals a fetal abnormality. The program assesses the type of procedure based on length of pregnancy, maternal health, and fetal diagnosis.
When severe developmental / genetic defects exist in pregnancy, this program provides a woman and her family with the privacy, compassion, and attention necessary during this difficult time.
Free Options Counseling & Education Services
Counseling and education specialists are available to all women and their families before and after an abortion. Specialists assist each woman in understanding the impact of her pregnancy based on her current life situation, help identify and explore all options available so that she can make the best possible decision, offer the opportunity for counseling through referral to other agencies, and provide information regarding reproductive health care, birth control, pre-natal care, and other related
