OK
Posted by foodlover96 on 08/31/2008
This place is OK. The reviews on this website are overly positive. We ordered pizza, penne pasta with meatsauce, house salad and chicken wings. I ordered the house salad because of the rave reviews on this site. It was a waste of money. It was iceberg lettuce, two slices of mushrooms, two slices of tomatoes, two slices of canned black olives. It was a huge disappointment. Our order took over an hour to arrive and the pizza was lukewarm. The pizza crust was hard and very chewy. We will not order from this place again.

Hidden treasure

This place is like no other. First, many restaurants claim to have a New york style pizza but nobody comes close to them. The food selection and portions are great and you feel like if you are eating a real home cooked meal. The house salad is a must. I work in the area and go there atleast 3 days out of 5 a week for lunch. Second, I don't know how they make money. The prices are so reasonable that it's rare to feel like you get a deal nowadays. Third, the service is always friendly, I am yet to have a bad experience there.

best pizza crust and house dressing ever
Posted by michlyn on 05/02/2008
Been going to this great little place to eat and watch the games for past eight years. The food is amazing but if you want to go for lunch during weekdays make sure you have time because they are always packed. Best dishes to try is house salad with there own dressing tossed, Lasagna for sure and pizza ( try spinach and ricotta ) . P.S. Police station, CHP, and fire department must be close they are always eating there.

*GOT VIOLENTLY ILL - DON'T EAT HERE!
Posted by mandygrams on 04/12/2007
My boyfriend wanted to order a pasta dish for take out, he got baked rigatoni with ricotta cheese and I believe there was some meat in it. When we brought it home, he had me try and bite. It tasted fine, and I had about 3 more big bites. WeI finished about half the dish. About an hour and a half later, I started feeling very nauseous, then the cramping started, then the chills, then the violent sickness - won't go into details but gross. Luckily we have a few bathrooms because my boyfriend and I had the joy of getting sick at the same time.
It had to be the pasta, it was all we ate the whole night.
Please be careful. This happened on a Monday evening, it's now Friday and I'm just starting to feel better.
I reported this to the restaurant owner and the woman on the phone told me that I was "Stupid". Good times.
There are many other choices for low grade Italian in this city, please save your stomachs and go to one of these.

Amazing Pizza, Great Service, Great Price
Posted by amyjohnsonpd on 10/31/2006
New York Pizza and pasta is great! The pizza is always good. The house salad is a great compliment to any meal (the dressing is homemade and amazing). They have the best garlic bread around and the staff is always on point. Plus the prices are super reasonable. Great little place!
