    BEST VETS & STAFF EVER!!!

Posted by Guest G. on 02/03/2009

PAWS N CLAWS has the best Vets and staff I have ever encountered. They have treated several of our family pets! I have 48 years of experience with various pets and vets. And the care they have received with Paws N Claws is the best! It's unfortunate the "angry" people had their feelings hurt...but animals need training or injuries will happen. If a dog needs a muzzle to clip his nails - you didn't do a good job training him! My daughter was bit in the face, as was I, by dogs whose OWNERS did not take responsibility for the training of their animal....'he's just like that". I'm sorry - if a dog is "just like that" either take him to a professional trainer to correct the behavioral issues or put him down! Don't be an irresponsible pet owner!! The staff (and public) get injured all the time by animals whose owners "warn them"...but not to tell this vet how severe your pets behavior was was COMPLETELY IRRESPONSIBLE! NEXT TIME CLIP THE NAILS YOURSELF! It's not rocket science.

    HEARTLESS PET VET

Posted by customer C. on 02/01/2009

After visting paws n claws today my wife and I were in utter shock! Before getting the apointment we explained to the staff that our dog was a little special, point blank he doesn't like the vet and is weary around other dogs and people he doesn't know. We brought him in to have his nails cliped. We again warned the staff it wouldn't be easy, they insisted they knew how to handle him. Moments later they were calling me back asking me to put a mussle on him, After a little more fighting they got the job done. As the gromers were clipping his nails the Veternarian comes out and starts grilling me about my 9 month old dog. Were did you get him, why is he like this, ect... I told her his been like this for the whole time. She then proceeded to tell me " YOU SHOULD HAVE HIM PUT DOWN, OR FIND HIM A NEW HOME THAT CAN TRAIN HIM PROPERLY," I was in utter shock and didn't know how to respond, We know our dog has issues, and we have been working with him but I've never had a "professional" say such a heartless thing to me in my life. You guys need to learn how to deal and love ALL types of dogs, not just the easy ones!

After having a terrible experience with the new vet in YL...I then went to Dr. Pyke..the office staff was wonderful and they fit me in that very day...Dr. Pyke was just as nice as can be!!!Very caring...she immediately found that my puppy had ear infections and ear mites and also needed to have her anal glands drained...I am so grateful that I found Paws N Claws and they are wonderful Doctors in YL...

    A Vet That Really Cares!

Posted by Cat A. on 06/04/2006

After having a less than satisfied visit to another vet for a typical office visit for my dog, I decided to try again and found Paws N Claws Veterinary Hospital on another review site and called them up to schedule an appointment. The woman on the phone was friendly and I wasn't left on hold forever, which was great. On the day of the appt., I arrived with my dog and he actually pulled me towards the building. The location is great and easy to find. The building is nice and inside it's clean and organized. The staff was great. They were all very friendly and helpful. The vet, Dr. Caroline Pyne, was excellent! She seemed to really care for the well-being of my dog. She came in and just talked to me about my dog and my concerns, she took her time and wasn't rushed at all. She was very personable and willing to answer all of my questions, as well as giving me some recommendations on what I should do. She was very friendly towards my dog, even though he was shy. The cost of the visit was reasonable too, I did not feel like I was getting ripped off or cheated. It is definitely the best vet I've been to and I highly recommend them.
