Comfortable neighborhood joint
Posted by macho_princess on 12/16/2006
Favorite "regular" place. I eat here at least once a week, sometimes breakfast, sometimes lunch, sometimes dinner. If I'm really hungry and craving something meaty, I have the corned beef hash -yummy and plentiful. I don't eat cheese, and they are great about accomodating my cheese-less requests and also mixing up the tea in my teapot and refilling the hot water. Big fan of the kyoto crepe and the Bangkok salad. Great for groups and also comfortable dining alone.

Just some really good food
Posted by katmeow on 10/03/2006
I've been to crepevine 4 times now, and each time just keeps getting better. I really recommend the breakfast (excluding the omelettes, they have a weird texture) with a heaping stack of breakfast potatoes. Also if you like pumpkin try the pumpkin pancakes...they are fluffy and delicious.

Breakfast in the afternoon
Posted by nighttripper on 08/12/2006
Hey, you can get eggs and hash browns ANYTIME--what a concept! I always want breakfast fare later in the day rather than as soon as I wake up and that's almost impossible to find these days (eggs needn't be just breakfast food, ya know). You can get savory crepes or sweet crepes, have a whole meal or just a salad, portions are huge. They have some tables outside so your pet can join you. It is usually crowded during regularly appointed mealtimes. No parking. Prices are good. They also do take out (no delivery though).

Good crepes!

I've been going to Crepevine for years and really enjoy it. They have amazing pea soup, and great eggs and hash browns. Beware of imitators -- the one in Burlingame is a pale comparison to the original on Irving St!

Good Value

Crepevine is one of my favorite neighborhood hang outs. The service has truly improved in the past several years. The food remains excellent and the portions huge.

Good salads, sandwiches and scrambles. I like their breakfast dishes. Huge portions and good value for the money. Clean and quick service.

Crepe on down this way
Posted by Amy T. on 04/07/2006
One of the places I found when I was a teenager, not too long ago, I keep going back to Crepevine to relive the ole days. Crepevine is a chill restaurant on Irving that is a great place for hanging out, studying, and of course eating. They make meal as well as dessert crepes. Their meal crepes come with these delicious rosemary potatoes. Ahh, the memories. If you're in the mood to splurge, try the strawberry and nutella--think hazelnut chocolate--dessert crepe. Always my favorite.Be warned, I went there a while back and there was a super rude waitress who was in the habit of plopping food down on any ole table, even if it wasn't what you ordered.

Crepevine

We tried out Crepevine on a recent vacation to San Francisco, and my husband loved it so much we ate there 3 more times during our vacation! They have such a great variety of both sweet and savory crepes! There are so many choices there, and each one that we tried was so yummy!! The portion sizes are also huge - so chances are you are going to have leftovers. Their crepes also come with yummy roasted potatoes. They also have a great house-made juice (with carrots and ginger) that is just fantastic.

Incredible

Crepe Vine is a great restaurant not only for crepes but salads and sandwiches also. I found this restaurant on a vacation in San Francisco and it was a delight. The neighborhood is a great cozy place and so is this popular place. The line was incredibly long so stake out a talbe and send a friend to place the order. They offer a lot of choices of crepes and I love that they do not all have nutella.

Crepes in the sunset
Posted by Joanne G. on 03/16/2006
I think Crepevine is just alright. I love that they add in a side salad and roasted potatoes (both yummy) to their crepes so that the portion is huge, but the crepes themselves aren't that tasty. I've tried a few different ones off their menu and have been underwhelmed each and every time. I also don't like how their crepe itself is not made to order, rather they're reheated before serving. That said, I like their full salads, sandwiches, omelets. Nice place to hang out for breakfast or brunch.
