I have worked with Martha Bowels from Greenlight twice now. Each time she helped me find an amazing apartment. The first time I worked with her I was living out of the country, and we were able to take care of everything through emails. She even went to the properties I was interested in to take pictures for me. The second time I worked with her she took the time to drive me around to all of the places we selected, and made sure I was comfortable with my selection (even though that meant more work for her). I have already recommended Greenlight to some friends, and all have been hppy.

i worked twice with greenlight locating; both times with Jennifer S.; she was outstanding.
the first time i was in a hurry to find a place and they were fast and helpful; the second time was for a friend, and he loves his place now and the location in 78704 area is ideal.
both times she was knowledgeable and professional. she was quick to respond and helpful! as someone that has lived in austin for eight year and works as an architect, i found the locating experience to be very enlightening and matched my understanding of the city of austin.
while i believe the website could stand a once over, the service is top notch and the office visit made me feel at ease.
i would recommend them to anyone and definitely use them again.

A Terrific Experience

Jennifer Stewart and the rest of the Greenlight team were a pleasure to work with. Jennifer took a significant amount of time learning about my preferences and crafting a set of apartments that would meet all my needs. She took the time to drive me around and show me a variety of properties over two days in Austin. I believe that I found a great apartment that meets all of my needs and sets me up for a great living experience in Austin.

An Absolutely Ideal Locating Company!

I am moving to Austin, Tx. this summer to start a new phase in my career and I had no idea where to start in terms of finding an apartment. I first spoke with one locating company who told me I would not be able to find what I was looking for (a relatively vintage one-bedroom apartment in the $500-$600 range close to downtown). Then, I researched and researched and because of Greenlight Locating's outstanding reviews on Yelp!, I opted with them to help me with choosing an apartment . I contacted Jason Kennedy three months in advance of my desired move-in date and he asked me to start sending him listings of apartments I like and/or would be interested in, so he could get a feel for my preferences. We also scheduled an appointment for the only time I would be able to fly to Austin and look at apartments over the summer. Over the course of the next few months, I sent Jason upwards of twenty apartment listings from Craigslist that resembled something I would be interested in, along with a list of my preferences, including even what seemed like outlandish requests just in case they might be possible (i.e., within my limited price range, wood floors, allows pets, tree-lined neighborhood, close to downtown, laundry on site, smaller complex, quiet neighborhood, cable and internet included, etc.)! About a week before our meeting, Jason sent me a list of ten fantastic properties that met my criteria and I chose four from those ten that I liked the best. When it came time for our meeting, he took me to those four, along with some other properties that had just been listed, all the while looking to get me the best deal and the most ideal living situation. I chose an amazing apartment that meets all of my requests, even though most of them had initially seemed to good to be true! More than that, Jason worked it out so that I am paying $50 less per month than on the list price, with utilities included, and worked out a later move-in date that saved me a month's worth of rent. All in all, he ended up saving me $1200 for the whole year! Beyond that, he was totally accomodating and pleasant, drove my sister and me around all day (literally 10 Am-5 Pm), accomodated our requests to go back and see apartments we had already seen, and negotiated with the landlord to work out the best possible arrangement. He completely listened to all of my preferences and truly found the perfect apartment for me. I cannot say enough good things (obviously!) about the experience. Thank you again!

Wonderful Experience

We stumbled into this place while cruising the area looking for 'for rent' signs. We're lucky that we did. Not only did Martha find us a perfect place within our price range, but she was a blast to be around! Funny, helpful, and endlessly enthusiastic, she made this process- which has always been such a headache- an absolute pleasure. Couldn't have asked for a better situation. Thanks Martha!!

Martha, Martha, Martha! I sure did like her. She was wonderful from the beginning of the process to the end. She knew exactly what we were looking for from the minimal information we gave her. She went above and beyond by taking us around to each property. Martha is very professional about making sure you find the perfect place for you, but also is very easy to relate to on a personal level. I would use Martha time and time again for any future apartment or home help. She more than exceeded my expectations.

I called Greenlight at the last minute on a Wednesday and asked if they could help us on that Friday. Martha emailed me that same day with a list of apartments that met our requirements. We were able to look through them, pick out the ones we were interested in, and then Martha DROVE us to look at each and every place. She was so nice and very on top of things. She answered our questions and was knowledgeable. Afterwards, she stayed in touch and kept us updated on anything else that we might be interested in. I have no complaints. I never felt pushed toward a certain apartment. I would deffinately reccommend this company to apartment/house seekers!

An amazing experience

Working with Phillip Smith of Greenlight Locating was an ideal experience when tackling the burden of finding an apartment here in Austin, TX. Before contacting the agency, I was simply doing the whole apartmentguide and forrent website searches (both helpful sites!), which was overwhelming as I was working and completing my graduate work. After getting in touch with Greenlight Locating, Phillip asked me to simply indicate what I was interested in. Within a few hours, he had emailed me properties that fit my description. All looked great. We met, he drove around to the different sites, telling me about the community (this was a plus, as I had only been her for 8 months and never had time to explore). After looking at the first set of properties, I told him one more specification I wanted: A big bedroom. That is what lead to my current apartment. He called individual properties and got bedroom dimensions!
Simply put, I was amazed at the overall time and effort put forth by Phillip and the courteousness displayed by Greenlight Locating when there in the office. I never got the sense that Phillip was tired of showing me places. Most of all, when we went to look at places, I felt relaxed and comfortable enough to say "No, let us keep looking". There was no pressure to pick a place or submit an application something I experienced with the first lady I worked with when I first came to Austin (this is why I was a resistant to trying a locating agency again). I love my new place!!! But in the event I decide to move, I would definitely contact Greenlight Locating again.

The woman I worked with, Jennifer, was extremely helpful in listening to all my dream apartment requests and finding just the right space for me. Found the perfect place on the first outing! Overall a wonderful experience.
