rip offs
Posted by truth4achange on 08/24/2009
This is one of the worst businesses on the web, even if you like the service at Stamps.com wait till you try to cancel their service they will charge you hidden cancellation fees and tell you all kind of lies. You may get their customer support on the phone to help you fairly easily until you decided to cancel your account with them , then no one seems to answer the phone any more or they put you on hold till you give up and go away. Check out the popular consumer complaint reports on Stamps.com you will see they have a huge list of nightmare stories of overcharging people's accounts and various other dark stories. Their free trial is also a trap it is not really free they end up charging you if you choose not to use their service.

Stamps.com is great for small business
Posted by enash_2009 on 06/15/2009
Stamps.com has been a great resource for our business. I run an auto parts store and we ship out small parts throughout the US. I dont send a lot of packages but enough to keep me busy. Prior to using Stamps.com, I used UPS and normally would drop off packages at the local UPS/MailBoxes Etc. store. But that ended up taking a least 30 minutes for a staff member to drop the packages off.
Since we only have 9 employees, losing a staff member on a busy day would create more headaches at the sales counter.
With Stamps.com, I've switched to using Priority Mail and get a small discount on the USPS rate (cheaper than if I went to the local post office). Also, the post man will pick up our packages free of charge (UPS wanted a fee to do this for our packages) -- so that means no more trips to the MailBoxes Etc.store.
Also, I dont have to buy rolls of stamps any more at Costco -- I often had to put more than one stamp on a letter if the letter weight felt heavier than normal. Stamps.com gave me a free scale so I can weigh my letters and print the correct postage on.
I think Stamps.com is a great choice for any small business owner looking to save costs.

Be careful registering for this service as they charge you a monthly fee with no service rendered.

I ordered a roll of stamps, $42.00 + $1.00 shipping for $43.00. I received my confirmation via e-mail for $43.00. When I got my credit card bill, they had charged me $15.99 service fee for a roll of stamps. I then proceeded to call, after 5 differant people couldn't help me I asked for a supervisor, she then stated she is not authorized to remove any charges. I was not happy! I then call my American Express platinum and they agreed that it was a ridiculous service fee charge and they removed it! I will never use this site again no matter how convenient it is. I will order by mail or go to my postoffice in the future. Karen S. Shelby Twp, MI

Whats up

I lived in apartment and went out of town Thurs through Sun.
There was no mail in mail box when I checked Sunday. And none on Monday.
The mail man must have tried to put mail in my mailbox and could not fit it all.
My mail was being held at the post office after I tracked down the phone number thanks to this website.
I had to ask that they deliver my mail tomorrow.
I feel the mail man should have left a note if he could not fit all the mail in. And why was it empty. Some mail could have fit.
