I found Playa Del Rey Florist & Greenhouse through a simple search on YellowBook.com and I cannot begin to tell you how pleased I was with their service, care, and quality. I was sending some flowers to my girlfriend at work for her birthday out in Century City and I needed the flowers to be delivered to her office on a Friday no later than 11:00 a.m. Maibritt at Playa Del Rey Florist & Greenhouse completely took care of me. She created an absolutely beautiful arrangement and made sure that the delivery was made by 11:00 a.m. - actually she made sure that the delivery truck went to my location first!!! Needless to say, my girlfriend was very pleased. She loved the flowers that Maibritt put together and said they were the "most beautiful that she had every had." The best part about the whole experience is how long the flowers are lasting. When the flowers were delivered, the roses were in full bloom, but the lilies were still closed - so about two days later the lilies opened up and it was like a whole new arrangement all over again! I can't thank Maibritt enough for making it such a pleasant experience for me. This is definitely the place you need to get your flowers - ask for Maibritt, she will make sure you get taken care of.

Look folks.......I'm sure that Playa Del Rey is a fine florist, but they are in Playa del Rey. If you order flowers from them,
they charge you a service charge and give your order to a florist that is in the city you want your flowers delivered to. Much smarter to find a florist in the city you're sending the flowers to, and call them directly and save a service charge.

Although this is true for deliveries out of the Los Angeles area, we typically charge less than the delivery at another store. We also track which are quality florists! Please be aware we actually DO deliver to Most of Los Angeles from Beverly Hills to Pasadena and south to Palos Verdes as well as many more. We place a great deal of care for every order no matter if we can reach it ourselves or have to use another florist in New York for example. - Lance

Los Angeles BEST FLORIST!

I had called several florists in the LA area to send flowers to my friend at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Everyone said it was too late. I decided to call 1 more florist. I called Playa Del Rey Florist & Greenhouse. The Young man that answered the Phone said yes they could still get it there today. I told him that I did not have the exact address. He told me that they deliver to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center every day; they knew the address and could get it delivered to my friend, not a problem. I did not know what to order, he told me that the designers could make something for me. He suggested that for someone in the hospital a bright and colorful arrangement would cheer them up. I agreed. Within 1 hour my friend was calling my cell phone. She said that she had received several arrangements, but that mine, was the most beautiful and sophisticated one. It was her favorite arrangement. Playa Del Rey Florist & Greenhouse Rocks!

Any time I need flowers, I go to Playa del Rey Florist. They always have such a wonderful selection of fresh and unique flowers, which I haven't seen other places! All the flowers I have bought there, stay beautiful and last longer than flowers from anywhere else. The customer service is incredible, they always make me feel like family-which is another reason I love visiting them! They also have great cards and cute little gifts and candles- it's a wonderful little one stop shop! I recomend it to all my friends!

I called with a last minute rush order for my Fiance' for Valentines Day and they went above and beyond the call of duty. They even held up the delivery truck while they took my order for a 3pm delivery on a 1:30pm order call. They got there a few minutes late, (terrible parking in the area), but I had already schemed to keep her at work a little longer and the delivery was made at 3:10pm. She was delighted and suprised and I appreciated the extra effort. The staff was friendly and I will undoubtedly utilize their services again in the future.

Great Customer Service

I Googled florist in Los Alamitos because I needed a local florist. Playa Del Rey came up, so I called them. They were wonderful and could accomodate anything I needed, but even though the internet said they were local, they actually were not (I thought everything was true on the internet! LOL). Long story short, they were very honest and referred me to a local florist when they could have easily just taken the order and then wire it. They went Above and Beyond and I would definitely use them in the future!!!

misleading ad

Despite the "open 7 days a week" ad on the website, Playa Del Rey is CLOSED on Sundays. Despite the link to "Florists - Long Beach" this place does NOT deliver to Long Beach.
Business Response
We are not open sundays but we do deliver on Sundays if arranged prior, especially funeral deliveries. We are also affiliated with other shops that we can deliver through on Sundays. We will deliver ourselves sometimes the cost is too high for some orders. - RAY

Incredible Customer Service

I called this florist and spoke with Lance...I had an urgent request for my Mother’s B-Day...Lance made certain the flowers were delivered the same day and went above and beyond by calling me the next day to make certain my Mom was happy with the order....I have NEVER had a florist call me the next day....they truly have incredible customer service.
I highly recommend this florist.

I didnt get to thank any of the designers but i did speak with the guy who delivered them. He was super nice and pretty darn cute. He made me feel alot better and even commented on how well I looked even after my surgery. Anyways I would recommened them to anyone and hope to get flowers from them and him again.
