This was a terrific place for an extended stay. We were in Houston for 8 days for medical reasons. We made a good choice of motels. It is in a good l0cation and the staff is terrific. Terry and Rena were wonderful. The suite had a bedroom with a TV. The sitting room (like a small living room) was very comfortable with a TV and VCR which acoomodated both tapes and DVD's The kitchen and dining area wre spaceous and has everything you would want. The suite was very quite, clean and comfortable. You can do your laundry in a clean laundry area with plenty of washers and dryers. Nice little "grocery" store for odds and ends. The immediate area is pleasant and allows for nice walks, which we had to do at least twice a day. A restaurant within walking distance. For a real good Italian meal try "Palazzo's about 3 miles away on Westhiemer. Very, very good food. Casual and nice athmosphere. For a relaxed quick meal and a good steak, try "Saltgrass" about 2 miles. There is a dog park (literally a "Dog Park") at the northeast end of Loop Central Drive when you take your walk. It's a fun place to see. 20 to 70 dogs at any given time, with a "Shower Point" for the dogs with 4 shower stations (garden hoses). You will get a kick out of watching the dogs, every kind imaginable. The dogs are in a fenced enclosure so they won't bother you or so you won't bother them. The "Galleria" is a huge shopping mall baout 2 miles away with a parking sturcture (free). Orient your parking location well as you entire the mall. We got turned around and it took some effort to find our parking garage. There are plenty of small shopping strips - Kroegers, drug stores, restaurants (on Westpark about 2 miles east). Have fun and enjoy yourself.
