There are two scenarios.
Customer leases equipment from us:
In this situation the customer owns nothing, and simply pays an all-inclusive monthly fee. There are no surprises, the amount is always the same. One of the benefits to this option is if the customer decides they no longer want the service, we come and get our equipment, they are not burdened with having to tear-down and remove a large aquarium. This is a great option for those that want to try it out first, or are not sure they want a permanent fixture or may be relocating in the future.
Customer owns equipment:
In this situation the customer already owns or purchases from us the aquarium and all other equipment such as lights, filtration, etc. This may be a preexisting aquarium or one which we have delivered, installed, and set-up for the client. Our services would include all labor and food, but we would have to charge extra for replacing broken or dated equipment. For example, florescent bulbs on an aquarium ideally should be changed every six months. We would have to add our cost of these types of replacements to our monthly fee. Of course, the client has the option of choosing the no surprises plan if they so choose.
